We’ll explore the flavors, landscapes, customs, traditions, and dialects of all Slovenia’s regions. Such variety! You’ll also get a primer on Slovenian wine. I’ll provide a brief introduction to food and wine pairing, and it’s going to be a lot of fun!

We will start at the Farmers Market, the ultimate spot for local produce and specialties! I always say that food is the best way to experience a nation’s soul. The diverse and lively market narrates the story of Slovenian people, culture, and traditions and is also renowned for its architecture.

Prepare to sample different wines, cheeses, delicious locally produced meats, traditional soups, seafood (did you know Slovenia has 43 kilometers of coastline?), and some sweets among other things. You’ll also learn about typical Slovenian dishes with protected geographical status, like a delectable traditional pastry filled with walnuts.

As I guide you around, I’ll share insights about Slovenian cuisine, culture, and customs that are ancient yet still vibrant today. Get ready for some great times while discovering the flavors of Slovenia through the perspective of a local food and wine enthusiast and a sommelier.
