Frequently referred to as a ‘Picture of Heaven’, the alpine holiday destination, Bled, will captivate you with its jade-green lake, mythical island, and majestic castle perched atop a craggy cliff. You’ll get the opportunity to tour the castle and hitch a ride on the petite vessel called ‘pletna’ to pay a visit to the miniature island in the heart of the lake.

Stunning mixture of turquoise blue and emerald green, its crystal clear waters, at the foot of the Julian Alps. - Simply stunning, with crystal clear waters and color that depending on the angle varies from turquoise blue to emerald green, along the mountain range of the Julian Alps.
The contemplation without a doubt is formidable at any time of year, but I liked it in the summer, when I could swim/dive in its waters.
With good infrastructure, it is worth walking through at least a good part of its surroundings.
Mainly due to the proximity to the capital Ljubliana (being quietly feasible to make knock-and-go), it is the most impervious tour of the country.

Bloody Brilliant - Rock was fantastic, a very knowledgeable and interesting tour guide. He really made the effort to welcome everyone and his knowledge is second to none. I would really recommend this tour, from pick up to drop off, it was superb.

Great trip - Great trip. Very clear timings and instructions. We went to the castle and for a walk. There was time to go to the castle and go to the island if you wished.

Great experience - Great experience. Easy pickup at central hotel. Comfortable van to Lake Bled with interesting fellow travelers. Unstructured time near the lake (I walked around rather than taking boat to island) followed by drive up to castle. Stunning views. Gorgeous day. Good guide. Less pressure and lower hassle than many other trips I have taken.

Gorgeous views and tasty cream cake - Lake Bled was absolutely amazing and my group enjoyed talking with our guide Luka. The cream cake was delicious and even the beautiful photos on the internet (and now my phone) don’t compare to reality.

Fun, well-organized trip with knowledgeable tour guide - This was a great tour (9/4/24 in the afternoon). The tour guide Tibor (I am sorry for misspelling) was AMAZING! Shared so many facts, anecdotes and tips about Slovenia and he was so funny! I had a smile on my face all during the mini bus ride. He was very caring and attentive to the participants! Highly recommend this trip.

Fairytale lake - Lake Bled is worth a visit for the whole day. A visit to the island in the middle of the lake is a must. The only really huge problem is the car parking, not only difficult to find but above all very expensive. It would be better to arrive at the site by some public transport.

Lake Bled - This place is beautiful. Ideal for a trip. Walk along the lake suitable for everyone, on foot, by bike, scooters.
Beautiful to do the boat ride to the island in the middle of the lake and get off to visit it. Also visit the castle with a view from above. (All for a fee).

Too much free time - Views from Bled castle are impressive and the cream cake VERY filling and tasty. Not much to see or do in Bled otherwise. The boat trip seemed overpriced, so the best option seemed to be the 90 minute vwalk around the lake
