Wonderful day! - The entire day was cool and rainy but we had an excellent time. Tiaja-not sure of the spelling-was excellent! She was a good driver and shared so much history with us and also told us about contemporary life in Ljubjana and Slovenia. The caves were quite a workout with all of the steps but well worth it and we earned the stop for prosciutto and wine! The Lippizaner horses were huddled in the rain as we drove the road through the pastures. Pouring rain and gale force winds met us in Piran, but were just part of the adventure! We had excellent seafood and pasta dinners. The photo stop at the Predjama Castle was a good ending on the drive back to Ljubjana.

Cave and Coast - The cave was amazing. Well worth the effort. The coastal village of Piran was very scenic, and we had the right amount of time to explore it and enjoy a nice lunch.

G - Impressive cave, because of the deep gorge/canyon inside of it; no pictures allowed inside the cave unfortunately. Piran is beautiful as well. Our tour guide Klemen was very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended

A beautiful old town. - A beautiful old town with everything centered around the water. Nice cathedral and castle. Castle easy to reach from the city. We went on foot, can also take the cable car. Parkings close to the park.

Great guide and enjoyed Skocjan caves - Overall a good experience - Clemen was a fantastic guide (incredibly knowledgeable, easy to chat with) and we loved the Skocjan caves. Unfortunately, rain flooded the roads and prevented us from visiting Piran, but Clemen quickly figured out a back up plan for us to visit Ĺ tanjel, where he gave us a guided tour of the town and had a delicious lunch.

You see a lot on this full day tour - The caves were impressive, with lots of stairs and no pictures allowed. Still it was an Indiana Jones moment. The visit to Piran was unstructured. We spent 3 hours there (plenty) - you could swim, lunch or explore the maze of narrow streets. Or you could combine as I did. I really enjoyed Pian. In addition we stopped for bonus photos at the Lipican horses and the Prejama Castle. It was a good day indeed.

Do not go drinking heavily the night before - This was a great trip, but is is a long day with lots of walking. My hangover did not help, but it was still worth it. I would highly recommend

Fun day - It was a fun, full day but I could have lived without the quick picture stop at Predjama Castle. I had already been there! Jan was very knowledgeable!!

The tour was average- sadly below our expectations. - The caves and Piran was good. However the trip to Lipica (in my humble opinion) was a waste of time. It would have been appreciated if the guide could give us some commentary during the tour. Perhaps he was saying something which we in the back seats couldn’t hear. We requested he speak louder, to no avail- perhaps he needs a microphone.
