- Bhushi Dam - Bhushi Dam is a masonry dam on the Indrayani River in Lonavala, Maharashtra. It is one of the top tourist attractions in Lonavala and a favored weekend destination for people from Pune and Mumbai. The dam is set against scenic hilly terrain between Lonavala and INS Shivaji. Constructed in the late 1860s for the Great Indian Peninsular Railway to supply water for steam engines, water from the dam was transported to Lonavala, Khandala, and the railway’s reversing station via cast-iron pipes.
