Highlights
  • The British Museum - Begin your half day experience by exploring the cultures and civilizations through the monumental collection at the British Museum spanning 6000 years of human history. It features items from all over the world like Samurai armor and rare Assyrian lion hunt reliefs. Your guide will take a serious but enjoyable approach towards the museum’s galleries, discussing primitive tribes and fallen empires through a carefully chosen selection of items. You’ll learn about the Mummy of Katebet, the Lewis Chessmen, and the Rosetta Stone – the actual rock, not the language learning program. Walk away with an understanding of what we humans have achieved during our short history and hopefully you’ll be proud to call yourself a part of this incredible species.

Definitely a Five Star Experience - Our private tour of the British Museum and National Gallery was a top-notch experience. There is a lot of ground to cover at both of these locations and our guide Jake made it manageable and enjoyable. His extensive knowledge of art and world history was fascinating and truly invaluable and was shared in an engaging manner. We were a group of five adults between mid-thirties and 70 and we all came away commenting it was like a personal Masters Class. Though I’m sure we would have enjoyed these museums on our own or with a larger group tour, there is no comparison to a private/personal tour guide and highly recommend this tour format. Thank you Jake for a great experience!

She was not only very knowledgeable but her passion for the arts and its history made for a truly amazing day. Knowledge and fun filled experience - This was a fun and knowledge filled hours for us. I was worried that it might be too long but the hrs just flew by. Becky was extremely insightful and answered all the different questions we have. Beware that you really only have time for a very quick 1 hr lunch if you need to finish at 3:30pm. Definitely recommend the experience with Becky!

Great and intimate tour - Ivo was an excellent guide! Extremely knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the museum. He guided us to not only some of the most famous artifacts but also some really interesting small items that we would not have known or missed otherwise. We highly recommend booking with him!
