Fun bus tour - The audio was entertaining, and it was the perfect length to end our first day in London. Usually, the audio in these things isn't the best, but it was pretty good.

Late to post about this... - Late to post about this one, but we lucked out with an excellent guide. It was difficult to find the pickup location, but once on the bus it was an absolute delight. Very educational and entertaining bring a jacket if up top because it can get chilly.

Tea break waiting time - The first and the last time I would use this service. The bus stops were not easily found but I was fairly ok with that, but honestly, the couldn't care less attitude of the drivers irked me but more than that we waited easily 30.minutes for à bus, then told we had to change, and then wait another 20.minutes for driver (green line, at around 15h00) to finish his tea break which easily took another 15.minutes. Am I paying for his tea break, or à bus service?

Disappointing and Overpriced – Avoid Unless There's a Live Guide - I had done a London bus tour back in 2011 and absolutely loved it. I don’t recall if it was with Big Bus, but what made that tour unforgettable was the incredible live guide – a witty, charismatic storyteller who could easily have had a career in stand-up comedy. His commentary had us all laughing and engaged throughout the 2.5-hour tour. Fast forward to this year, I brought friends visiting London for the first time, excited to recreate that magic. I was shocked to discover that for nearly $200 per couple, this Big Bus tour didn’t even include a live guide – just a low-quality, barely audible tape recording. The experience was abysmal. The audio guide was riddled with long silences, inaccuracies, and uninspired lines like: “We have arrived at stop number [whatever], please get off here for Big Ben, the Palace of Westminster, etc. etc.” It added nothing of value or atmosphere. To make matters worse, our bus was diverted due to police activity, and we sat on the side of the road with no updated commentary. The tape was completely useless and totally disconnected from where we actually were. For a company charging premium prices, this felt like a lazy, budget-cut version of what used to be a great experience. Unless Big Bus offers a guaranteed live guide, I strongly recommend avoiding them altogether. There are better, more engaging ways to see London – don’t waste your time and money here.
