Final visit, as a member, to this excellent zoological gardens - Having been a member of London Zoo for a few years we decided to have one final visit before our membership expired (unfortunately family membership is not cheap and there is no way to pay in monthly installments). The highlight of our membership was spending a night at a lodge within the zoo. Over time we have seen a lot of admission money spent on improvements, to the point that the zoo is hardly recognizable from a couple of decades ago. One aim of this visit was to visit Monkey Valley – this would be our second visit since this new attraction opened, but on our first visit all of the Monkeys stayed inside, this time a few were out in the old Snowdon Aviary. However, the lack of monkeys was made up by seeing the baby gorilla. Overall we had an excellent visit. PS We arrived on foot from King’s Cross / St Pancras station – we walked along the Regent Canal on the way there, then returned via Regent Park making the journey there and back just as interesting as the visit to the zoological gardens.

Darwin frogs - My 13 year old son and i visited the zoo on Saturday. It's our third time at london Zoo, but I'd say this recent visit was the best one. We decided to come again after watching a documentary on the Darwin frogs and the amazing work you are doing with them. we especially loved seeing the monkeys and sloth. They had lots of room and trees to climb from. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The gift shop is actually well priced, and the maps are pretty easy to read, too! There was just so much to see It really was an incredible day! The only negative point I'd like to add is I would like to see more signs about tapping on the glass and flash lights on phones/cameras. We witnessed lots of both, which is well acknowledged how much stress this can cause to animals. We are already looking forward to coming back in the spring 😀

Fantastic day - Best date I have been on for AGES. Saw basically all the animals even though it was Jan, all the members of staff were so lovely and friendly. It wasn’t too busy or too dead. Just a really lovely day out and worth the price!! Only note would be that a lot of the automatic doors were not working which may cause issues for guests who need them to help with access. Also the lift up to the lions viewing platform was out of order.

Happy day at the zoo for the whole family - We can not do so much about the weather, but besides that it was a really nice experience. At first glance, it did not seem like we could walk all day, but as we got further into the park, it opened up and had a lot of exciting animals, as well as stories. In addition, there were also many good facilities for the animals, and we also had to stress through a little to reach the last.

A birthday celebration 🥳 - My daughter and I wanted to go as part of my grandson’s 1st birthday celebrations, albeit more for our benefit…sadly it was a dull day and therefore some of animals were not out, so several we didn’t see, like the tigers! We understood that though…what we did see, we enjoyed. My grandson was fascinated with the Penguins, Apes, Monkeys and Aquarium…we didn’t eat there, as we didn’t want self service or snacks, cafe style…we visited the shop, nice items, but quite expensive. Overall we enjoy our day…only downside, there was quite a few school group, not a problem in themselves…but teachers and pupils we’re all totally oblivious to other visitors around, especially families with very young children! Not the fault of the zoo though…

Disappointing visit - Loved seeing the penguins and the lions, but very disappointed not to see the gorillas or tigers, otters and other animals that were either too cold to be out, or missing. The monkey walk through wasnt open, although the signage appeared that it would be. Maybe February isn't the time for a zoo visit. The indoor attractions like the minibeasts were teaming with children, so it was great to see they were enjoying their time at the zoo, but we were just a bit sad at how run down it ooked.

Good day out - No Toucans, therefore can only score a maximum of 3 stars. Lots of undercover and inside areas, so still able to see alot despite the rainy weather.

Not worth it - I felt awful for the Animals as they looked sad and in closures looked small and poor quality and the overall zoo felt run down. Overall I wouldn’t recommend going

Disappointment don’t bother - To say disappointment is an understatement this place is run down and not worth the £27 entry fee. We managed to do the zoo in nearly 2 and a half hours walk round but hardly any animals out food outlets shut and not to mention not very hygienic. Sadly won’t be returning in the future as just not worth the money.
