Highlights
  • Soho - Soho is a lively and bustling area. It was the epicenter of the Swinging 60s, shaping fashion, music, and culture. This is where Beatlemania began, and the coffee shops of the 50s gave rise to a new wave of musicians who carried us through the 60s, 70s, and beyond.
  • Tin Pan Alley - One of London’s shortest streets, but every building is steeped in rock ‘n’ roll history. It has layers of musical heritage, from selling sheet music in its early days to being London’s top spot for new and vintage guitars today.
  • Marylebone - Marylebone is one of London’s treasures, with its stunning Georgian architecture and upscale shopping. The Chicago Tribune called it the “ultimate rock pad.” This is where Ringo, Jimi Hendrix, and John and Yoko lived—though not at the same time! And you’ll be amazed to learn who lived just around the corner; here’s a hint: I won’t leave any stone unturned.
  • Camden Town - Camden has it all. This area is home to one of the best rock venues of the 60s, the famous Round House, which still rocks today. Iconic artists like Pink Floyd, The Who, The Doors, The Ramones, Jimi Hendrix, The Kinks, and Amy Winehouse have all graced its stage. The street art in Camden is incredible, and the atmosphere is vibrant and exciting.
  • Abbey Road Studios - Abbey Road boasts the world’s most famous crosswalk. I’ll capture the moment you walk across it, just like the Beatles. It’s also home to Abbey Road Studios, where the Beatles recorded many of their hits. Nearby, we’ll visit the location of the recording company that famously turned the Beatles down.
  • Notting Hill - Notting Hill is famous for its annual carnival, a certain bookshop, and numerous movie stars. On this tour, we’ll focus on music and rock ‘n’ roll, discussing legends like Bob Marley, Queen, Pink Floyd, and Jimi Hendrix.
  • Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea - The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is aptly named. Here, we’ll visit the homes of rock royalty, including Freddie Mercury, Jimmy Page, and Robbie Williams. This borough is also home to the Royal Albert Hall, where Bob Dylan caused a stir in 1966.
  • Hard Rock Cafe - The Hard Rock Cafe has a rich rock history since it opened in 1971. I used to hang out there in its early days, and I can tell you it has only improved over the years. It also features a fantastic museum called the “Vault,” and I can end the tour here as your final stop.
  • Mayfair - Mayfair was London’s party central in the 17th century, known for fourteen days and nights of debauchery in early May, which ended abruptly in the mid-18th century. Today, it’s home to high-end shops, hotels, and clubs. For rock ‘n’ roll fans, this is where the Beatles played their rooftop gig in 1969.
  • Regent Street - David Bowie, the legendary artist, always stayed connected with his fans throughout his career. Here, we can pay homage to the king of glam rock, where the album cover for “Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars” was photographed.
  • St. James’s - A small courtyard hidden in the heart of St. James’s is where rock ‘n’ roll history was made. It’s where John met Yoko and where the A-listers of the day partied in a private members’ club—and still do!
