As Entertaining as it was informative - Took the trip as were into sailing and wanted to learn about lat and long. Museum is cramp packed with interesting displays and history. However we were fortunate enough to attend a chat given by MIKE D one of the volunteers. It was as entertaining as it was informative, great fun and really well delivered by Mike. I would highly recommend Mike and the team. Then at 1300 got to watch the old time signal in action. Had a great morning before we went off for a cream tea in the National Maritime Museum.

Get ticket in advance & be there at 1pm to see ball drop! - Wonderful place - go for 1pm to see the ball drop. Buy your ticket in advance to avoid queues & attend the free talks as they are really informative & explain the history of Greenwich Mean Time so well. Take the time to visit the park, National Maritime Museum & Cutty Sark. A proper day out seeing history at its best.

Great day out from London - Greenwich is a great day out from London. Lots to see, Cutty Sark, Observatory, museums, markets, lunch venues and just strolling the streets. It was an easy train ride from central London. You can easily spend 6 to 8 hours in Greenwich.

Plan to Spend the Day in Greenwich - My husband and I bought this pass and went to all 3 locations. The Maritime Museum was interesting and had quite a few artifacts and paintings from the British Navy and sea faring expeditions. The Royal Observatory was atop a hill and was a 10-15 walk up a decent incline. It was interesting as it had several telescopes and various types of instruments. The Cutty Sark was okay, and we completed our tour in about a half an hour. The pass for all 3 of these locations is reasonable as each entrance is approximately $20 pounds. Upon reflection, I wish had booked a tour for the Royal Naval College which is home to the Painted Hall.

Great day in Grernwich - Greenwich is an interesting place to visit. The Naval museum is a large complex and more than 1 visit would be needed to see it all. The Cutty Sark is also good to visit as is the Observatory as both are historic
