Highlights
  • Summer Time Lane - As a collective, we ascend a variety of trees, ranging from 100 to 200 feet in height, encompassing both ancient old-growth and secondary growth specimens. The number of trees you’ll scale, from one to four, is contingent on the group’s composition and the climbers’ proficiency. Reaching the heights of 20 stories amidst Coastal Douglas Fir Trees provides a breathtaking vantage point, offering vistas that are seldom witnessed. Marvel at the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, wildlife, and the sea from the pinnacle of the treetops.

Participants need no prior experience and must be at least 8 years old.

Master the art of scaling towering trees using ascenders to navigate to the branches, where you can then climb to the canopy’s summit! The method of using ascenders is akin to performing squats.

Dress in sporty attire, including long pants that shield your ankles, and wear sturdy athletic footwear. It’s advisable to don apparel that you won’t regret getting soiled or torn. We supply all the necessary gear. The tree canopy climbing adventure unfolds progressively: you’ll begin by receiving your gear, proceed with safety briefings, get acquainted with the equipment, learn its operation, and then embark on your ascent! Excellent way to spend the morning on Lopez Island! - Awesome experience! Challenging enough to make it interesting, but still very accessible for novice climbers. and of course on a clear day the views are spectacular. Brandon was great. His instructions were clear and he was very laid-back while still being safety conscious.

Amazing trees! Amazing guide! - Brandon was just awesome! His passion for tree climbing was contagious. After a mixup with our booking, he stayed late to accommodate us and did so cheerfully! He displayed so much patience and used multiple strategies to make sure we both were able to get up in the tree. Plus the trees were gorgeous. I would recommend this to anyone.

Go into the treetops with Alex. Memories for a lifetime! - Alex was amazing! There were 6 of us including my 9 year old daughter and my husband who is afraid of heights. I wasn’t sure they would be able to do it or even like it. Alex was so positive and helpful that everyone made it to the top. 175’ into the treetops! Everyone was so proud of themselves. And the views were outstanding. When do you get to look down on a bald eagle flying with Baker and Rainier in view? We loved it so much!

Once In a Lifetime Experience - This was such an amazing experience. There was a thrill and excitement to it but also once you start climbing branches you feel like a kid conquering the world again. The view from the top is stunning. I always felt safe and secure with the equipment and our guide Alex. He's the perfect person to turn this scared-of-height girl into a tree-climbing fool. Thank you for sharing this experience with those who couldn't even imagine in their wildest dreams they'd be able to climb hundreds of feet up a beautiful old-growth tree. Doug was high-maintenance but he was my favorite.
