Highlights
Ocean Adventure!
Malibu - We will drive up the world famous Pacific Coast Highway 1 through the scenic coastline of Malibu to a secluded surf spot for our days lessons. Your guide will point out the famous surf spots and celebrity homes along the way.
Malibu Family Wines - Then we will head to our exclusive campsite on the 1000 acre property of Malibu Wines where we will enjoy a wild, remote campsite all to ourselves. We’ll set up our tents, kick back, relax, cook a BBQ dinner and watch the sunset. Wine will be available for purchase.
Mountain Adventure!
Malibu Family Wines - We’ll wake up and relax with a coffee or tea and enjoy the view (waking up for sunrise recommended). A light breakfast of oatmeal and fresh fruit will be served. Then we’ll pack up our tents and head for our next adventure
Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area - Then we’ll head to a famous local hiking spot to take a dip and do some cliff jumping into the deep waters of a swimming hole. This is one of the most beautiful hiking areas in Malibu and is a must see in its own right.

We will meet up, load up the car and depart from my house in Mar Vista. I have parking in my driveway and there is also plenty of street parking. I will provide you a secure place to store your belongings in my house. Be sure to eat a hearty breakfast because you will need the calories!

Would 100% recommend to everyone looking to try surfing! - My friends and I had an amazing time with Quinn! Quinn was super knowledgable, fun, and was clearly passionate about surfing. He made a ton of effort to make sure we each caught a wave, and despite having 3 people, we each got a lot of individual instructions and 1on1 coaching.
Prior to our surf trip, he was super communicative and texted us ahead of time to ensure we had his info and meeting location. He was also super flexible and willing to accommodate us shifting locations from Malibu to Venice.
I also highly recommend purchasing his video package, he recorded every moment and shared the footage and pictures a day later.

absolutely loved it - I can't even describe how much of a great experience my friends and I had with eat sleep surf. We decided to try it for my friend's birthday and couldn't be happier with the decision. Quinn is the greatest guide and surf instructor ever. He's kind and fun, and made sure we were comfortable every single minute of this trip. None of us had any experience in surfing whatsoever and even then he was super patient and calm to explain and give us the best advices. You won't regret booking this beyond amazing experience. The hike was also a blast and the camping location is a must-see. We are all very grateful and would do it a thousand times more.

Unbelievable Weekend in Nature! - I recently moved to LA and have been looking to take advantage of all of the amazing outdoor activities just outside the city. Quinn's trip was the best weekend I could've asked for! He is an amazing and knowledgable instructor who had the patience to teach us to surf and rock climb in beautiful locations in Malibu. He also took us on a gorgeous hike to a swimming hole that was a highlight of the day. His campsite is tucked away in the hills of Malibu to provide epic views --plus he cooked us a delicious meal after an amazing day! I would highly recommend this trip to anyway who wants a taste of the outdoors adventures that LA has to offer.

Surf Camp Hike - Quinn’s Surf Camp Hike experience was so fun I would totally do it again next summer! He’s an excellent surf instructor. Was fun and patient with me and I was catching waves by the end of the lesson! The hiking and camping were in beautiful locations. Definitely something I’ve told all of my friends about :)

Knowing LA as a local... - Went to the surf/hike/camp retreat and it was awesome! Quinn is an excellent host always with the best disposition to make the trip an awesome one. He showed us his secret spots to surf and camp and LA, and I loved that I got to know LA like a local.
He also a great surf teacher. You can tell that he loves surfing and just being in the ocean, and he will give you the best tips to get you stand up on the first lessons. His vibe is just so peaceful and easy going.
So if you are looking to learn how to surf of just get an adventurous weekend I can 100% recommend Quinn!!

Surf..Hike..Camp.. What else can you ask for - I went on a 2 day trip with Quinn last weekend, and it was awesome! He took us to some great hiking spots in Malibu State Park, and then before it got dark out we went to his private camp site. We cooked up some great food, and spent the night under the stars. And when we woke up in the morning, I was amazed at what a great view there was! Quinn then took us surfing, and he really is a great coach. I had surfed a few times before, but he really helped me improve.
Quinn is also just a really great guy. It made this trip feel like I was hanging out with an old friend. I would definitely recommend this experience to my friends, and will be contacting Quinn next time I am in LA.

Down to Earth Knowledgeable Tour Guide - Quinn is a great surfing instructor. He took the time to demonstrate the techniques of surfing on land and continued to teach our group in the water with simple pointers about technique or little details to focus on while catching a wave. Not only is Quinn a great teacher, he's also very down to earth and easy to talk to, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you want to learn how to surf, book a trip with Eat Sleep Surf, you won't regret it.

Sensational Surfing - My family and I had an amazing experience learning to surf with Quinn last Friday - first time for the kids, 2nd for me. Quinn was flexible with timing, arrived ahead of us with all gear in tow. He patiently instructed us w/ demo 1 by 1 on land to be sure we had the technique. He was with us every step of the way while in the water until every one of us got up at least briefly. He quietly listens, instructs, affirms the good and gently helps you improve where needed - a master at surf instruction! This is THE guy to go with when it comes to surfing lessons. Eat (less), Sleep, and be sure to SURF (more) with Quinn Carson!
