Great way to see some history - A great way to view an old battleship and its history. You can walk around a great part of the ship, inside and on the deck. Lots of background info on how certain elements of the ship work. They keep updating/renewing parts that are reeally really old (like parts of the wood deck dating back to the 40's) So might be that if you visit and come back another time, you get to see diferent things/parts of the ship. Parking was also super easy and for the time you are there not expensive at all.

Great Ship - Very Noisy Environment - Great tour by Dale and great ship to see. Unfortunately, they had a group of US Coast Guards that were grinding on the main deck making it almost impossible at times to hear the guided tour host. Keep in mind that we all paid for a guided tour - seemed strange that the work had to go on right in the middle of the day when tours were scheduled. Understand maintenance needs to be performed but not right in the middle of the day when tours are being conducted. Bad PR from our perspective. For this reason, I might caution someone older (like our group was) from going unless you got a "all's clear" message from the USS Iowa that they were not performing grinding and structure borne noise during your tour time slot.

Eye opening - After our cruise returned to the San Pedro port we boarded the USS Iowa for a self-guided tour of the battleship. It is an amazing piece of history since the ship was in use for many years. As someone who feels we owe a debt of gratitude to all who served in any of our services, it was incredible to walk the floors of the Navy battleship and to think of all the men and women who lived and also died while on the Iowa. Seeing their living quarters as well as the armaments and their positions on the ship is eye opening. The ship doesn't seem all that big to have accomplished so much on the huge ocean it travelled while working to keep the world safe.

A walk in naval history. - This well preserved battleship is a vivid and tangible reminder of the firepower and devastation our Navy could unleash. Her presence brought respect and caution to friends and foes. She represents the last marriage of overwhelming gunfire with the 21st century age of missiles and electronics. A must see for anyone interested in American History, American industrial might and the importance of geopolitical presence.

Worth a visit - Very impressive to be on this battleship. At the entrance a veteran received us and we learned a lot already through a short conversation. You enter another world history. Scary, sad and fascinating... the feelings are mixed by the ship's management. Absolutely worth a visit!

Wonderful tour of the Battleship USS Iowa - We had private group tour of the Battleship Iowa, and it was an unforgettable experience! The knowledgeable docents provided incredible insights into the ship's rich history, making every moment fascinating. We explored areas that we had not expected, including the command center. Our guide was enthusiastic and answered all our questions, enhancing our understanding of naval history. Walking through the massive battleship was awe-inspiring; the scale and detail are breathtaking. Highly recommend a tour for history buffs and families alike!
