Explore the expansive 67,000-square-foot Griffith Observatory with this specially designed itinerary crafted by former observatory staff. Journey through the cosmos and history as the guide shares insights on science, the history of Los Angeles, and the magic of movies. The observatory also offers stunning panoramic views of LA, including the iconic Hollywood Sign.
Following the tour, attendees can enjoy a performance in the renowned planetarium theater. Remember to bring funds for tickets, and the guide will assist with on-site purchases. This 40-minute engaging show features live narration and extraordinary projections. Shows are suitable for those aged 5 and above.

If you ask Observatory staff about the tour they won’t be able to help. You MUST check in with your guide at the Astronomer’s Monument.
- To see a planetarium show, you can buy tickets in person. Your guide will show you how. They’re $10 for adults and $6 for kids ages 5-12 (under 5 not allowed in the theater).
