Highlights
  • Hollywood Walk of Fame - The Hollywood Walk of Fame features over 2,600 five-pointed terrazzo and brass stars set into the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood, California. These stars serve as permanent public tributes to accomplishments in the entertainment industry, showcasing the names of a diverse group of musicians, actors, directors, producers, musical and theatrical groups, fictional characters, and more. Managed by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and maintained by the self-financing Hollywood Historic Trust, the Walk of Fame is a major tourist attraction, drawing an estimated 10 million visitors in 2003. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce holds the trademark rights to the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
  • Griffith Park - The Griffith Observatory, located in Los Angeles, California, is situated on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood within Griffith Park. It offers a panoramic view of the Los Angeles Basin, including Downtown Los Angeles to the southeast, Hollywood to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest. The observatory is a well-loved tourist spot, providing a close view of the Hollywood Sign and a wide range of space and science-related exhibits. Since its opening in 1935, admission has been free, honoring the wishes of Griffith J. Griffith, the benefactor for whom the observatory is named.
  • Sunset Strip - The Sunset Strip is a 1 1⁄2-mile (2.4 km) section of Sunset Boulevard that runs through West Hollywood, California. It stretches from West Hollywood’s eastern boundary with Los Angeles (Hollywood) at Crescent Heights Boulevard to its western boundary with Beverly Hills at Sierra Drive. The Sunset Strip is famous for its boutiques, restaurants, rock clubs, and nightclubs, as well as its numerous large, vibrant billboards.

Great way to hear about Hollywood now and then.. loved the easy ride to Griffin Park! - Michael really was so fun to listen to and we learned a lot about Hollywood past and present .. loved seeing the old mansions( beautiful) Lucky too , did not have to drive and deal with everything at Griffith Park. Got to see the sunset and view the Hollywood sign .. amazing .. Michael made our tour great!

Best experience in Los Angeles with Starline Tours - For those who want to use their day for the beach, to shop and celebrity spot, the Hollywood City Night Tour is the answer. Tour is 3 hours and I visited Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, Downtown Los Angeles, Farmers Market, and down amazing Sunset- Boulevard . Also the tour includes a stop at the Griffith Observatory, Southern California s ' gateway to the cosmos' originally made famous in the James Dean movie, Rebel without a Case, and LA LA Land. I made many photos . I really recommand this experience. Guide it was fantastic, he told us a lot of info about all places visited on night. I m very happy because I can say now a lot of things about LA. Is my favourite city from US. Located in the heart of Hollywood Starline Tours is a great company. If you are in LA contact them for a great tour . They have CitySightseeing Hop on Hop off and Celebrity Homes Tour, Malibu Celebrity Homes Tour, also, The Ultimate Private Hollywood Tour.

Make sure the tour matches the description - Going up Griffith Observatory was the main piece to see the views of L.A. and the Hollywood sign. But we were disappointed that the Observatory was not the final stop when the sun would have set and we would see L.A. skyline "at night". Instead we dealt with crowds on the way up. And the drive past Hollywood landmarks/Walk of Fame was a little skimpy. I thought there was one more stop along there.

More of a shuttle to the observatory than a tour of LA - This wasn’t really a tour. It was just a drive to and from Griffith observatory. It was nice to get up there without having to deal with parking and our guide did give some commentary on the way but I thought it would be more of a tour with more sights. We also spent a lot of the tour in traffic.

Not what it could be - Unfortunately this tour did not live up to its promise... I was so eager to see the Griffiths Observatory and checked that this was included when booked. What I wasn’t told was that it was only a drive by - no time to stop, take photos and soak in that view. In fact the whole tour was just lots of driving, only stop was at the Farmers Market for a very late dinner. And a long 45 minutes wandering around Hollywood and Highland before getting in the bus. We also got back an hour later than told (11pm not 10pm)... ok but don’t plan on an early morning the next day. The guide was lovely and did his best - he certainly knew a lot about the city and was keen to share it.

Rude member of staff and 2 tour mix ups. - I used Starline for 3 tours as they were part of the Hollywood peak pass ticket. I prebooked the nighttime tour and celebrity homes tour. The first tour was the HOHO tour. Firstly the boss at the kiosk was rude, dislikes his job and appears to dislike tourists also. I am being kind when I say dislike.. Tour was fine. The second tour was the celebrity homes tour on the 2nd day and it was booked for 11.45 am The Boss at kiosk muttered to the member of staff dealing with us that the 11.45 was not a real time but didn't tell us this tour was actually cancelled after waiting over half an hr and having printed tickets for a tour that was never going to take place We were then sent to office by the other member of staff and we were put on next tour by nice gentleman in office. Tour guide Ricky was very good. That same night we were booked on night time tour . We turned up at the office and the nice man had to inform us that the company had made another mistake and booked us on tour the following night . I had an email confirming my dates and times for both tours. However i had to change my itinerary and go on this tour 2 nights later because the tour was full. The night time tour guide was not very informative and we expected a little more than a drive to the Griffith observatory. Overall for above reasons I couldn't recommend Starline tours .

What a Disappointment - Description says the Walt Disney Concert Hall is included along with neon lights which leads you to think it goes to downtown L.A. as well. What a rip off !!!!! All it is ….is a two hour ride to the observatory due to traffic and back. What a disappointment !!!!

Disappointed & Worthless - Thoroughly useless trip, worth taking a taxi instead. There was nothing to see or know about. They will take you to Griffith Observatory and make a return. For us they didn’t even mention the observatory was closed on Monday right before boarding the bus.
