Highlights
  • Venice Sign - Stretching across Windward Avenue at Pacific, the illuminated VENICE Sign is a modern replica of the original installed in 1905 by the famed Abbot Kinney.

It stands as a defining emblem of Venice, both past and present.

In 2007, the Venice Sign Restoration Project recreated and installed the contemporary version of this historic sign. Since then, the Venice Chamber has been responsible for the sign and its trademark protection.

Join the global community of people who have a photo with Venice’s most iconic backdrop, The Venice Sign.

Visitors are welcome to photograph the sign for their personal use and enjoyment.

Wait at the traffic light until the walk signal appears, then dash out in front of the sign and strike a pose! You have about a 30-second window to capture your shot before the cars start moving.

  • Venice Beach mural - Discover why Venice became an artist hub in the 1970s & 1980s!
  • Venice Beach Boardwalk - The Venice Beach Boardwalk is one of Los Angeles’ top tourist attractions. Part of the Ocean Front Walk, it’s a long stretch of concrete paths along the Pacific Ocean beaches. But it’s not the surf and sand that draw the crowds. Instead, it’s the lively beachside sidewalks, filled with fascinating characters. As a cultural hotspot, people-watching here is unmatched anywhere else in LA.

Along the Venice Beach Boardwalk, you’ll encounter fortune tellers, eccentric artists, chanting Hare Krishnas, and bikini-clad roller-skaters. You’ll also see everyone else wanting to experience Southern California’s eclectic beachfront neighborhood. Skateboarding fans can watch pros at the skatepark, while surf enthusiasts can catch waves near the pier. Head to one of the bars or restaurants and watch the boardwalk action unfold before you. The boardwalk is also a great place to shop for gifts and souvenirs.

  • Venice V Hotel - Venice V Hotel, the only beachfront lifestyle hotel in Venice. Designed in a soulfully reimagined 1915 landmark that was once a hangout for Hollywood’s elite, the V is at the heart of it all — Venice’s legendary skate park, surf, iconic Boardwalk, shopping, entertainment, and Abbot Kinney’s eclectic dining are just steps away.
  • Venice Beach Skatepark - The legendary Venice Skate Park, where the greatest skaters have emerged.
  • Basketball Courts, Venice Beach - The iconic Venice Beach Basketball Courts are located on Southern California’s Venice Beach and are among the most famous basketball courts in the world. Between the beach, shops, sunshine, and bodybuilders, the legendary courts gained even more fame when featured in the movie White Men Can’t Jump. Plenty of pick-up games.
  • Muscle Beach Venice - Muscle Beach Venice is the “Home of Bodybuilding,” nestled right in the heart of Venice Beach since 1963. Some of the biggest names in bodybuilding and film, including Franco Columbu, Lou Ferrigno, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Frank Zane, have all called Muscle Beach Venice home. Bodybuilders and enthusiasts flock to this outdoor gym to work out and be part of the bodybuilding tradition. Muscle Beach Venice is open 7 days a week except for major holidays, city holidays, rainy days, and annual fitness events. Gym hours vary based on the time of year.
  • Venice Canals Walkway - The Venice Canals in Los Angeles County offer one of the most unique experiences during a day at the beach. Located right off 25th street in Venice Beach, you might easily miss them if you didn’t know they were there. The area is primarily a neighborhood of houses lining four canals, each about a quarter-mile long. Along these channels are sidewalks and bridges you can walk to take in the views of this beautiful area.
  • Abbot Kinney Boulevard - A mile-long strip featuring the latest in fashion, art, and food, just minutes from Venice Beach, California.

Best guide tour to navigate Venice Beach and not miss a spot - I truly enjoyed it. I liked that you can do the trip at your leisure with stops and all. I also enjoyed the commentary at each stop explaining the location history. But most of all I liked how easy it was to navigate the app.
