Amazing tour of Mindo area - Had a great tour of Mindo. Our guide Isra was superb and took care of us all day. He was super professional, very easy going and above all he definitely loves his job. He was very informative and gave us an excellent overview of the area. The hummingbird visit was so nice to see and in an area that is so beautiful alongside a little river. We also went to a chocolate and coffee business where they showed us how chocolate and coffee is made. Very interesting and learnt a lot of things that I always wondered about. Like how they grade coffee and chocolate This tour is a must and if you are lucky to have Isra you will not regret it.

I spent a wonderful day... - I spent a wonderful day observing humming birds and getting to know the full process of coffee and chocolate making! The road was very enjoyable, and Isra is a very nice guide with whom it was a pleasure to talk to. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Day! - The Mindo coffee, chocolate, and hummingbird experience was wonderful. Sooo many different types of hummingbirds! Isra, our guide, was amazing and really tailored the day to our wishes. Make sure you know when booking that you are paying for the transpiration and guide. ALL of the activities as well as lunch are not included. Hummingbirds ($6), coffee ($12), chocolate ($12). We left at 9a and arrived back at 6p, but also squeezed in a couple other activities (Mitad del Mundo - $5 and an orchid garden $4). Highly recommend if you’re wanting to take a day trip out of Quito.

Great time at the Mindo cloud forest, chocolate and coffee tour - I had Isra as my guide and he was incredible. I learned so much about Ecuador and he was happy to answer any of my questions. Mindo is beautiful and a must see. Isra makes sure you get a real Ecuadorian experience. He took me to a restaurant in Mindo that had great food. The chocolate and coffee tour in Mindo is a must. I learned so much about the coffee and chocolate process and the guides spoke English very well and were great. And you get to taste a bunch of different coffee and chocolate! We also went to Alambi reserve where you can do some bird watching and feed the hummingbirds. Such a cool experience. On our drive Isra even stopped on the side of the road because he heard Toucans and asked me if I wanted to see them. Highly recommend this experience and Isra as a guide.

Isra arrived promptly to... - Isra arrived promptly to pick me up at my lodging. There was only one other guest so it was pretty much a private tour! On the car ride he explained alot about Quito, the jungle, and what to expect. He was very patient at each stop so I got to truly enjoy each experience (bird and butterfly watching, chocolate and coffee making). We even had time to try local fruits and eat empanada verde. This experience felt more friendly than a transaction so I really appreciated that. Isra only does small group tours so you get a more personalized experience.

Unforgettable Experience with Israel - If I could give him 10 stars, I would. From the moment Israel arrived, the experience was fantastic. He is caring, intelligent, and incredibly knowledgeable. I wanted to include more hiking and physically active activities in our planned trip, and Israel made immediate adjustments. Thanks to his flexibility, I had one of the most enjoyable days I can remember. His personal attention to ensure I was happy was simply incredible. I cannot recommend him highly enough—he’s the best!

Budget experience, nice people - Based on price I should’ve expected a budget experience. Vehicles were cramped for my party of 6 and no AC. Shout out to Alex for being so nice. My party got separated because instructions weren’t clear on what options we had at Mindo. 4 of us were herded into coffee and cacao presentation and told to pay $20 and missed out on zip line, butterfly, chairlift or any other option

Expensive - Be warned that the cost is simply for a taxi rather than a tour. Everything else is additional. This entire tour costs and additional 60 dollars per person. Most disappointing that we asked to see waterfalls- were told no water, and no butterflies. Just get a taxi from Quito and decide on activities yourself.

Not very impressed - So I booked this tour based on reviews. Maybe I just caught the guide in an off day ? First thing he was flexible with changing the days and I appreciate it. When the tour started, I specified that I am not really interested in coffee and chocolate tour or zip lining since the tour is “ supposedly “ flexible . But it seems like he wasn’t listening. We went to see the hummingbirds and I was told to go to the river by myself . And the guide disappeared , he later claimed he was looking for me ? The pattern of disappearance kept happing through the very short day. I was told we can’t do the waterfall hike because it was raining ( a small drizzle ). Can’t go to butterfly garden because they close early . I basically had no choice but to do the tubing and chocolate tasting. It seems like the guy saw himself merely as a driver not guide . He will drive you around and drop you off and goes off on his own . We left for Quito a bit after one. I was not offered lunch , but he suggested we try Guinea pig close to Quito which I declined . Overall I wouldn’t recommend it for a solo traveler , you can just get on random tour for 45$ from Quito . For families if you are looking for a taxi maybe it’s worth it.
