Nice experience - This was a great experience. I like the tour being held the beach. The personal time with the camel was an experience within itself. Billy was an excellent host. Thank you for a memorable tour!

Fun - well there was a problem with the pick up, bad information finally found someone to call catus tours, found pick up place, then we had to pick up other people at there hotels, so we were in the van for 1 hour 20 minutes to get to catus tours place, long line at catus tours to get thru just to get with a group to go, then had to ride a shuttle for 20 minutes to get to camel, then what was suppose to be a 2 hour camel ride only lasted 35 minutes, a little to much to pay but it was fun. You can't take your camera or cell phone out on ride, they want to take your picture and sell them to you. $$$$

Meh - Loved that they kicked us up at our hotel. The place was very nice. Check in was very organized. Waiting for the actual camel event..took forever. Our event was supposed to start at 11, we didn’t move until 12. The guide knew we didn’t speak Spanish, but still spoke Spanish the entire time and I KNOW he was speaking about us. Food was ok. Camels were cool. Oh and they make you leave your phone in a locker so you only have the pics they take. And they sucked. So we have no record of us doing this. Overall…meh. Happy I had the experience. No I would not do it again.

Very misleading - Booked the camels, tacos and tequila, at 10:00 am. Was supposed to be a 2 hour excursion. Driver picked us up at 9:20 - so far, so good. We made another stop to pick up more people - ok. The listing for the tour said 18 people in a group, or something. Fine. We get out to Cactus Tours, and depart the bus. That’s it - no other directions or instructions. There were about 100 people trying to check in, and no where did I see anything about camels. I stood in a line, and we were finally checked in at about 10:40. This was supposed to be a 10:00 “tour”. Upon check in, we were given the option to pay another $150 to make it private, which meant we could take our own photos. Otherwise, we would be in a group of about 30, and we were directed to wait in the waiting area until others arrived. Color me confused and highly annoyed by now. Finally, at just after 11, we had a group of roughly 15, and our guide led us to the vehicle to drive to the camels. We then had to wait longer… at about 12:30, we were on camels for a 25 minute stroll along the beach. Scenery was great, ride was enjoyable. But it was now past noon. We were supposed to be done by noon. After more standing around, we were transported back to the base area, where we had tacos and tequila tasting. Tacos were very good, and virtually no waiting - thankfully! I was starving, it was past 1:00 pm at this point. Now downstairs to tequila tasting. We got 2 micro pours, and then we’re told it was a limit of 2 per person. Now we had to figure out how to leave…. Which was easy enough, actually. 2:00 pm, we are back at the hotel. If the information had been more clear, my expectations would have been different, and I would not have been so annoyed about all the standing around and waiting and lack of directions. And this was not cheap! $360 for 4 people, plus another $80 land use fee. For over $80 per person, we got a 25 min camel ride, 4 tacos and a half shot of tequila. And spent half a day standing around. Pablo the guide was wonderful, however. So, it was somewhat enjoyable, just not what I was expecting at all, so I was left with a bad taste in mouth and some frustration.

Don't waste a full day. - The actual camel ride and guide were interesting. The rest of the tour was miserable. The shuttle was late. Once we got there we were rushed through a herd of people. Directions were very unclear. And the waiting around was agonizing. We planned on a 2-3 hour excursion but it was over 5 hours for a 30 minute camel ride.
