Gotta love Tequila! - From all of our travels, this is now at the top of our list for a thoroughly enjoyable excursion. We learned all about Tequila & Mezcal including history, agriculture, production, and most importantly taste. We now know which type of tequila that we prefer, as well as why, and how to best enjoy it. Mucha Gracias to Lenny for a great session.

Fun, delicious and educational! - Very engaging and educational for both tequilas and mezcal. Food bite pairing was on point and crickets were our favorite. They took the craft seriously and helped us all learn about the process and growing of the agave. Top notch experience for the price!

10/10 - We loved our experience at Santos Destilados. Luis was so knowledgeable and we learned a lot about our favorite drink! We enjoyed the pairings as well. The majority of our group bought bottles to take home. Definitely a must-do in Cabo!

A Refined Tasting Experience - We learned so much about both the history of tequila and mezcal and the methods for making it. We learned the best way to enjoy fine tequilas and enjoyable pairings for each kind. We tasted 4 tequilas, 4 mezcals and 4 cordials. We were provided small hors d’oeuvres to sample with the tasting. We tasted fruit, candy and meat pairings. One pairing included fried and seasoned crickets (which taste like Barbecue potato chips). We tasted a mezcal made in the traditional method used before Spanish conquest. There are only two distilleries still using this method in all of Mexico. At $300 a bottle, tasting it felt like a treat that I would not likely have again. Guests are offered an opportunity to buy these fine beverages at the end, but the invitation was low pressure and gracious. Obviously, when tasting tequila, the intention is not to “do shots” or get drunk. So, though I left the tasting with a smile and a little tequila glow, no one was drunk. If you enjoy craftsman, high quality, small batch tequilas and a gourmet experience, I recommend them heartily. Bon appétit!
