So much fun!! Leave your stress in the dust! - Took a private x3 utv tour with Eloy - was easily one of my top 3 Cabo experiences and I have done a lot (cageless swimming w sharks, jetskis, efoiling, flyboard, sky tours in a an ultralight/powered paraglider, and least exciting of all camels) during many previous visits here- but this would be my first one booked with Cactus Tours. The actual location was super cool looking, phenomenal views throughout going up desert hills and cliff trails, my favorites though were the beach and arroyo drives which were far less bumpy/challenging but loved how i got to see/feel it all.. Israel was with us as photographer and was very good at capturing cool turns and specific views, while folloaling on a separate atv. My only gripe being the condition of the specific vehicle was a bit beat up, I could see other ones that looked to be in better looking condition(i did choose this over another company because they had x3s)- but other than that, views were phenomenal, I had a great time and have incredible photos and videos(cost a lot more than any other photo or video package I've ever paid for) but was well worth it given the overall private experience- i would only do private again. As long as you're well aware of the upsells and extras($150 to upgrade to private, $25 park entrance,$60 for insurance for the maverick x3,& this is optional but i paid $129 on photos/videos all in but maybe that was because tour was private) & they gave free tequila tasting up to 3 shots (huge selection of tequila) and sell their own tequila also, one with a damiana flavor. despite the cost i would definitely still do it again, it's just one of those that you have to be aware there's going to be extra charges for extra things, tips of course for your guide and shuttle drivers not included so as long as you're mentally prepared it will not be an issue.

Be prepared to wait. - Be prepared to wait in line for 20 min to check in. Then the ride was only one hour but advertised as two. Then we had to wait another half hour for the bus to pick us up. The ride was fun

Not for experienced drivers as you drive behind an ATV the whole tour - We were very disappointed in this tour. First problem is that it is advertised as a 2 hour tour, but it is only about 1 hour of driving. Another issue is that an "upgrade" was pushed at checkin for a private tour where we could go as fast as we wanted and wouldn't have anyone in the group slowing us down. Well, the "guide" was on a slow ATV, so they knew we couldn't drive fast because we had to follow the guide. A third problem is that they don't really tell you the price as you have to pay to enter the park per person, plus the insurance isn't included so you have to add $125 on top of the already crazy price for one hour of driving. Our guide stopped on a lookout where the photographer was waiting and wanted us to take our driving time to get out and get photos taken for an additional charge. No thank you, we came to drive. Then we had to stop to let the engines cool (about 85F degrees outdoors as the sun was setting) when the engine guage showed the exact same temperature as when we started. (BS for sure!) Then we were supposed to go up to a building to use the bathroom and buy water. We just started 30 minutes ago. We had planned ahead! We also had to slow down for horses, camels, other tours, etc. The final issue was it was 5 hours on the dot for 1 hour of driving. We were picked up, and then had to pick up at many other hotels 2 people at a time. Traffic wasn't easy either. When we got there we had to stand in line for "check in" which was really just paying the rest of the price of the tour for "admission" and the chance for them to upsell at every possible angle. Then we had to wait for every other person to finish before we could start. We were encouraged to buy food and drink, souvenirs, etc. and then wait to look at the photos. The sun was low and it was impossible to get a good picture of us putt-putting along although they tried in low light. The video was mostly of the guide as we were close behind her. The wait didn't matter though as we had to wait for our van to fill up which was close to an hour. FIVE hours total with 4 of it waiting and being encouraged to spend money. It was $1000 dollars to drive a real Cabo race car for 4 hours at a different vendor and it would have been much cheaper per driving hour and a better use of our time.
