Baby turtle release at Rancho Carisuva is a ife-changing experience - At sunset on a beautiful Saturday evening at Rancho Carisuva, my wife and I released baby turtles onto the beach and watched them scamper toward the ocean and eventually wash out to sea. It was magical, it was spiritual, it was eco-tourism at its best. Marine biologists Alejandro Rodriguez and Patrick Madrigal outlined how this type of conservation is essential and helped us get the most out of the experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to interact with the most adorable baby turtles ever in the most environmently conscious way ever.

Unforgettable experience - This was one of the most amazing and memorable experiences for us. We went with two teenagers and everyone loved it!!! The introduction provided was so educational and interesting. Everyone was knowledgeable, extremely passionate about the program, friendly and warm hearted. The tiny turtle release was absolutely adorable. I would recommend the experience to anyone in a heart beat, such a worthy cause and an eye opener.

Sun set Turtle release - This experience is a great way to support Sea Turtle conservation. The team is passionate about what the do. The first hour is a presentation about the 7 species of Sea Turtles. Then you go down to the beach get your little 🐢 in a bowl. You get about 5 minutes to take pictures and then you set your Turtle free and watch as they slowly move down to the water.

Poor Customer Service: Disputing the Charge with CC - I booked this tour directly through their website. On the website, it said pick-up was included for the tour. After booking, I expected to receive a confirmation and time to be picked up at my hotel. Instead I hear nothing for days. I reached out via facebook, whatsapp, email, text, etc. the day before asking about the pick-up. Only the morning of the tour was I contacted via text saying no turtles had hatched during the night and was offered an ATV ride instead; this was not suitable for my elderly parents. I declined and asked for a refund, which they agreed to. 6 days later and no refund has been processed on my credit card. I've now lodged a dispute with my credit card to recoup my funds. I'm not sure if this is a farm trying to do tours, but not having the infrastructure set up to handle paying customers will lead to negative reviews such as this one. I hope to have this rectified ASAP and will amend my review if/when it is resolved.

Buyer Beware - Booked online, received a confirmation but the pick up was a no show. We did not receive this service but were billed full price. Trying to recap our expenses now. Buyer beware. We had read this had happened to other folks but we took a chance and it happened to us as well.

Stood us up- Terrible Customer Service - Was booked and paid for Sea Turtle release. Waited at pickup point and time. After the pickup time passed, called Rancho Carisuva & was told 'there are no turtles to release, maybe tomorrow Fri, Jan 10. We will call or text by 9:30am She verified my name and phone number and that we had already paid. After waiting on Fri morning past 9:30am we still had not had a phone or text msg. Called Rancho Carisuva again were told that she would try to get us a refund within a 'few hours". Asked when I would know our refund was processed, she said to 'Call supervisor at Viator/Tripadvisor". Very poor way to run a business. All they had to do was to let us know and call us about the lack of turtles and the right thing to do was to go ahead and give us a refund the day they never showed up, Viator should drop this tour operator for their poor customer service.
