Setting Sail in Los Cabos

The sun was just beginning to rise as I made my way to the dock, the salty breeze already promising a day of adventure. I had heard whispers of the Los Cabos Sailing Adventure and knew it was something I had to experience for myself. As a former professional surfer, the ocean has always been my playground, and the idea of a luxury sailing trip with snorkeling and a gourmet lunch was too tempting to resist.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by our guide, Estafano, and our captain, Danny. The small group of eight, including myself, ensured a personal and intimate experience. We started with a refreshing mimosa, a perfect way to kick off the day. The boat was spacious, and the atmosphere was relaxed, setting the tone for the journey ahead.

We motored out to the famous arch, a mere five minutes away, where the stunning rock formations provided a picturesque backdrop for photos. Snorkeling and Surprises

As we cruised towards the snorkeling spot, the ocean was alive with activity. Whale spouts appeared in the distance, a thrilling sight that added an unexpected layer of excitement to our journey. The crew served a delightful snack of shrimp, salsa, chips, and guacamole, a perfect accompaniment to the stunning views.

Arriving at the snorkeling spot, the water was inviting, though a bit chilly at 71 degrees. I couldn’t resist the call of the ocean and dove in, paddleboard at the ready. The crew threw food into the water, attracting a vibrant array of tropical fish that danced around us. It was a mesmerizing experience, one that reminded me of why I fell in love with the ocean in the first place.

Unfortunately, not all surprises were pleasant. In a moment of carelessness, my phone slipped from my pocket and disappeared into the depths below. A lesson learned, but it didn’t dampen my spirits. The beauty of the underwater world was enough to keep me captivated, and the camaraderie among our group made the experience all the more enjoyable.

A Gourmet Return

After about 45 minutes of snorkeling, we headed back to the boat, where a gourmet lunch awaited us. The spread included a chicken Caesar salad, pasta salad, fresh fruit, and decadent chocolate truffles. As we dined, the sails were hoisted, and we glided gracefully back towards the marina.

The return journey was just as thrilling as the start. We attempted to follow some whales, catching glimpses of their majestic tails as they breached the surface. The wind in the sails and the sun on my face made for a perfect end to the day.

Back at the dock, I took a moment to reflect on the adventure. Despite the loss of my phone, the memories made were priceless. The photo package offered by Josle was a worthwhile investment, ensuring that the day’s highlights were captured forever.

As I waited for transportation back, I wandered around the marina, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Los Cabos. This trip was a reminder of the magic that the ocean holds and the joy of sharing it with others.
