An amazing hike - We had an amazing experience exploring the nature of Mexico with Danny. The night hike was the best part: hearing the sounds and seeing the bright stars was absolutely magical. Danny was very knowledgeable and kind. We enjoyed meeting his friends at the end of the trip and eating a traditional meal at their rancho. This is a must trip if you want to learn about Mexico outside of its resorts. Thank you, Danny!

Memories to take home! - Hard to describe how much I enjoyed this experience. Danny was helpful before the tour in answering a couple questions. Pick up was right at my hotel which was very convenient. We drove the hour or so towards the canyon and made a quick stop at Yaka Charly for sorbet. Unbelievably delicious. (Bring pesos!) From there we continued into the preserve. The hike itself was easy and was a beautiful glimpse/taste of the terrain. I am an experienced hiker/mover but this would be totally approachable even for those who are not. Danny was a wealth of information on so much of what I was seeing. He highlighted a lot of the vegetation, and gave insight throughout the entire trip on the region, the people, and the challenges they face. There is a small pool to jump into at the top end of the hike. This is an out and back trail. The bulk of the way back was in the dark with headlamps that Danny provided. Seeing the stars, some night creatures 🦂, and hearing a coyote or two made it even more delightful. From there we headed to the home of YoYo, local ranchero, and enjoyed a traditional dinner with fresh made tortillas and cinnamon tea. If you are looking for something quieter, to escape the lights and noise of Cabo? And get a taste of nature. This is it. Danny was experienced, friendly and knows his stuff. He speaks fluent English for those of us lacking in our Spanish. It is clear that he has created tours with the locals in mind. The whole experience left me feeling content and grateful. And like I was part of the culture here for at least a small moment. Honestly? I didn't want the evening to end. But when it did, I was dropped right back at the hotel doorstep. If you prefer less commerical and "touristy" experiences with an eye on nature, and helping the locals in a more sustainable way? Book it. Now.

Amazing hike - Sierra de la Laguna - Experience of a Lifetime - We were very lucky to have a private tour with Danny. He was a great guide and told us about the flora and fauna of the arean, as well as the geology and history. We arrived in the valley when the sun was setting, so it was not too hot. The trail took us through the dry riverbed across sand benches and rock formations smoothed by rhe water. The vaiety of trees and cactus was amazing. Before heading back, we went for a refresing swim in a natural pool. After sunset we were hiking down the valley in the light of a full moon (and with the provided head lights) and we heard the howls of coyotes in the distance. If you take this hike you should be fit and wear good shoes, since it involves boldering over rock formations and balancing across gravel beds (50% at night). We ended the evening at a Rancher‘s house eating a traditional meal. Kudos to Danny for being a great guide and putting an unforgettable tour together for us.

Discovering the Hidden Magic of Los Cabos with Danny - Absolutely recommend this experience! Danyi is not just an amazing guide but an all-around awesome person. He took us on a journey through the hidden beauty of the Sierra de la Laguna, showing us a side of Los Cabos most people never get to see. Along the way, he shared his knowledge and gave us a glimpse into the real culture of the area, which made it all the more special. This wasn’t your typical touristy activity—it was such a cool, unique adventure that stands out from anything else you’d find in Los Cabos. Definitely worth it!

A true authentic experience! Hike and late lunch. - Where do I start? Do you want an authentic Cabo experience? This is it! Our tour guide, Danny P was fantastic and full of great facts and history during the whole day. We were picked up at our resort at 2pm in a very comfortable and clean air conditioned van for our ride to the Sierra de la Laguna national park. This takes you into the beautiful country outside Cabo. We stopped at a local farm where they had homemade sorbet (Damian’s) in flavors you have likely never experienced, it was terrific. Then we continued down the road to our destination the Ranchero where we checked, put some waters in our backpack and got ready to head out. Danny taught us about native plants throughout the hike and history about the rancheros in the area and the Cabo region. We took an occasional dip in the natural springs which was quite refreshing. Where hiking shoes with tread or chacos, tennis shoes must have good tread. You will be in sand and climbing on rocks and trails. Our return hike back we had headlamps on, the pictures we took were amazing. Bring something dry to change into before your traditional ranchero lunch. It’s a light dinner but just right. We returned back to our property around 830 or 9pm. A full day but by far the best experience I have ever had in Mexico, let alone Cabo.

A peaceful little adventure - Great experience. We had a really small group and had nearly the entire canyon to ourselves. We learned a lot about the local history and the plants and wildlife. Hiking in the afternoon and evening was great. Lots of wildlife and quiet moments. Dinner was fantastic. When traveling as a vegetarian we usually don’t expect much, but the family prepared a vegetarian alternative to the usual meal that was beyond expectations. Would recommend for anyone who enjoys nature and is looking for something a little more adventurous outside of the cabo bubble.

Unique hike into heart of Baja was awesome for us seniors!! - AMAZING AND UNIQUE!! My friend and I are active women in our 70s and we loved this hike!!! Danny picked us up in his beautiful van. To reach the start , we went through a locked gate just outside the village of Miraflores and then we bumped along a winding dirt road across a dry river bed and bounced further on up into the lower elevations of the mountains. The peak of Sierra de La Laguna at 2,090 metres (6,857 ft) in elevation, is the highest point in the range of the Baja California Sur state. But we were nowhere near that elevation. My friend and I challenged ourselves on this hike. The so-called trail wasn’t marked as it cross-crossed the riverbed and zigzagged over rocks, boulders and sand bars to our final destination: a sparkling oasis centered on a crystal clear pond some 90 minutes later. We had the option to swim but that day was a little too cool. Returning at sunset, the last 45 minutes of our trek was managed with the help of headlamps. It was pretty tricky but actually not difficult climbing over boulders and river rocks in the dark! There was a brilliant starlit sky which we stopped to observe so we could point out Jupiter, a satellite and count the constellations. It was stunning. We finished the 2 1/2 hour hike at a quaint family-owned Ranchero where we enjoyed a very traditional meal. Freshly made tortillas baked over an open wood flame, frijoles, spicy salsa, ranch beef, plump cherry tomatoes grown on the ranchero and sweet, hot damiana tea hit the spot! The entire tour took seven amazing hours. An excellent adventure! Highly recommend it.

Ditch the tourist spots, get off the beaten path and check out this adventure - Small groups are the best! Danny and his partner arrived to pick me up in a really nice new van. We took the drive to the hike site stopping first at a road side mom/pop ice cream stand. On the hike Danny took the time to explain different Flora, and Fana, as well as different rock formations after a brief swim, we headed back to the van. In a short drive, we ended up at a private home and had homemade tacos. Some of the best I’ve had. If you’re looking for an off the beaten path adventure, this is the one you should pick. Back in one piece with all my parts 😃
