Here at Baja Vikings Ecoventures we strive to provide safe and memorable experiences while leaving as little carbon footprint as possible. The Sea of Cortez is thought to be one of the richest and most diverse seas in the world. Jacque Cousteau called it “The Natural Aquarium of the World”. With our certified local guides enjoy a speed boat ride while learning about our local ecosystem and famous landmarks such as The Arch, Lands’ End, Lovers Beach and The Sea Lion Colony. Then set off by speed boat in search of pelagic life. The word Pelagic is relative to anything in the open ocean and here in Cabo San Lucas where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez we get many different migratory animals throughout the year, such as Mobula Rays, Whales, Turtles, Dolphins, Orcas, Sharks and more! On our Safaris we venture out into the ocean blue looking for wildlife and then you will have a opportunity to get your snorkel gear on and get in the water up close and personal with the magical creatures we find. Our mission is to get in the water safely and respectfully with all marine life and respect the surroundings.

Since we limit the size of our groups, we’re able to offer personalized assistance for those who might not be too comfortable in the water. Regardless of whether you’re an experienced snorkeler, a first-timer, or not particularly adept at swimming, you’re in safe hands. Our certified guides are experts at making sure your Cabo San Lucas snorkeling experience is enjoyable and secure.

The meeting point is located along side the Marina in the API building. The office is number B-20 and has a brown sign above the window. If you locate the circle of surf boards at the corner and walk in the direction of the bay the building is tan and located on your right hand side.

Fun for the whole family - Guides were great & snorkeling was a blast. Everyone from our 70+ Grandmother to my 12/15 year old nieces enjoyed it! Good mix of a guided boat tour & snorkeling

Great experience. Highly recommended. - Excellent tour!! Weather did not help (very cloudy), but our captain and our guide put an extra effort to find some animals. We were able to see marlins, sea turtles, mobulas, a giant devil ray jumping, and a whale.
We want to come back to see whales in winter!! Baja Vikings Ecoventures will see you then...

The very best - I absolutely loved D! She was so kind and knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable as I had not snorkeled in a long time. And seeing the rays was amazing!! There were so many of them and it was fun to see the « happy pancakes » flying in the air!

Great experience!! - Second time snorkeling with Baja Vikings and would definitely recommend! We will book them every time we’re in town! Best snorkeling in Cabo- by far!!

A MUST! - Daniel and our Captain were amazing. We found ourselves in a pod of dolphins that were swimming and jumping right next to us. We were able to see many humpback whale couples. And our time ended snorkeling off of a reef and even seeing a shark. You will not be disappointed with this excursion!!!!

Wonderful Open Ocean Safari Tour - We had such a great time with Mario on the Open Ocean Safari Tour. He was a wonderful guide, so passionate about the sealife. You could tell he really loved being out on the water and teaching us about the different animals. It was a very personalized, small outing. The pictures and video we received a few days later were outstanding. It was so fun to see how he had captured our ocean safari! We hope to make it back in a few years for the Mag Bay tour they offer.

BEST ADVENTURE YET 10/10 EXPERIENCE!!! - It was a really great breathtaking experience! We started a little bit early than usual to avoid crowds and spend longer time to see the rays in a more secluded setting. We ended up swimming in a school of dolphins, went to see the coral reefs with tropical sea creatures, we even saw a baby sharks. Mario and Fernando are really knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the ocean and the history of Cabo. I would highly recommend this experience to everyone whether you’re a beginner or experienced snorkeler, these guides really go out their way to make this a memorable experience.

Best experience ever!!! - I stayed in Cabo for 8 days in early June and signed up for four different tours with different companies. The tour with Elizabeth and Mario (Baja Vikings Ecoventures) was by far the best one! We drove for 2 hrs to La Ventana and within minutes we were already on our boat. Elisabeth and Mario are working together with the locals and several boats spread in the area surrounding Cerralvo island and communicate with each other if there is an interesting sighting which greatly increases the chances for encounters. Within minutes we were within a pod of hundreds of dolphins with multiple opportunities to snorkel with them. Then we headed towards the Mobula ray aggregation but got informed that there was a fish baitball close by. They always asked about our preferences/priorities so we could decide whether we would prefer to continue swimming with dolphins or head towards the Mobula rays, or the fish baitball. The tour is tailored to the customer. We decided to swim with the baitball first. We were surrounded by the sardine baitball which were constantly bumping on us as they were seeking protection from a school of bonita. We become one with the baitball and you could not move without constantly touching the sardines. It was an experience of a lifetime :) Shortly after we swam with hundreds of Mobulas. Some of them started playing with each other. They quickly got used to us we could approach them within a meter. The clarity of the water and calmness of the sea made this an even better experience. Ceviche was provided for lunch on one of the remote beaches on Cerralvo island and it was delicious. Again, I highly recommend this tour. I have been on snorkeling tours around the world in countries like Australia, South Africa and the Maldives but this tour with Elisabeth and Mario felt more like an expedition and was hands down the best one! We were also provided with pictures and videos of our underwater encounters (including a video of me swimming with the dolphins 😊) and some great shots of the Mobulas and dolphins as they were jumping out of the water). I am very thankful for this experience!!!

the most underrated tour - Liz & Mario is the most competent guide and photographer, very good at their job and we feel extremely comfortable with them for a tour like this. We've seen pods of dolphins and swam with them, bait balls, huge schools of mobula rays and don't mention the thousands of dolphins & mobula rays breaching. It was one of the most memorable trip I've ever done, plus their photos & videos are incredible !

Open Ocean Safari - Mario and Liz are the best at safaris and boat tours in CSL. Cannot recommend them enough. We've gone on several tours with them and will continue booking in the future.
