Cusco - We collect you from your Cusco hotel and take you to the Patabamba Head Trail Community.
During our hour-long drive, we take in breathtaking scenery.
Juchuy Coscco - Once we arrive, we prepare to embark on a moderate climb uphill for the next three hours, reaching the highest point of the walk at 4,200 m/13,779 ft, while putting on our backpacks. From there, we can see rather amazing views of the nearby snowcapped mountains and valleys.
We drop off at the Pukamarka (lunch) settlement and spend time visiting the Inca ruins. From there, we travel the old Inca path into Huchuy Qosqo, Inca city. We have time to tour the city, then head to the comunity of Lamay. We walk about 2 hours all the down into the Sacred Valley. You will be able to see the Inca city and all the breathtaking views of the surroundings.
overnight: Ollantaytambo - Sacred Valley.
Distance: 17 km or 10.7 miles | Difficult
7 to 8 hours is the approximate time.
Huchuy qosqo—Pukamarka is a sight.
Lamay - We just use our transportation to get to Ollantayambo and spend very little time in the town.
Ollantaytambo - When we arrive in this town, we check into the hotel. After that, we have free time to explore the Inca town on foot.
Inca Trail - Sungate - Machu Picchu
Ollantaytambo - We make our way to the train station where we will enjoy a pleasant ride to the head trail.
Chachabamba - Stop at KM 104. The old Inca path starts in the lovely cloud forest amid the Andean mountains.
Chachabamba, a little archeological structure thought to have formerly been a guard house for Machu Picchu and a tiny offering place before entering Machupicchu citadel, is the first Inca site. The trail then climbs gradually for around three hours until you reach 8,690 feet (2,650 meters). You will pass a stunning waterfall on your way; keep going to see Wiñay Wayna, which translates in Indigenous Quechua language as “forever young.”
Inti Punku Sun Gate - From Sun Gate Vista Point, you will descend for around forty minutes toward the main structures of the citadel, enjoying amazing panoramic views along the paved Classic Inca Trail.
At last, we boarded a bus heading to Aguas Calientes for dinner and overnight.
Hike Eight miles (13 kilometers) separate Machu Picchu from here.
Minimum Altitude: 2,030 m, or 6,656 feet
Peak Altitude: 8,690 feet (2,650 meters)
Six to seven hours is an approximate time.
Machupicchu cusco - We visit and enter Machupicchu’s best location. We watch the sun set and then make our way to Aguas Calientes.
Aguas Calientes - We stay the night and have the morning to stroll around Machupicchu Pueblo.
Machupicchu Wonder of the World - Cusco
Aguas Calientes - Breakfast at the hotel, then proceed to the bus station for a 20-minute drive up to Machu Picchu Sanctuary.
Machupicchu cusco - At Machupicchu, you will have an incredible guided tour of one of the marvels of the earth. We strongly recommend leaving early in the morning (5 a.m.). You can reach the citadel in time to watch the sun rise over the Inca ruins, and owing to Machupicchu’s new laws, the location will be vacant.
Temple of the Sun - Architects and engineers originally arranged the amazing artistry of the Incas, which is still clearly visible even centuries later. The accuracy of the carved walls contrasts sharply with the untamed, lush slopes and rocky peaks.
Following your Machu Picchu day trip, you will ride the bus down to Aguas Calientes town and then back to Cusco.
Trekking to Huayna Picchu can be customized.
Customize: Spend an additional day in Machu Picchu.
Ollantaytambo - We return by train. After traveling from Machupicchu Pueblo to Ollantaytambo, our vehicle will be ready to take us back to the hotel in Cusco.
Cusco - We conclude our journey in Cusco.
return to your hotel by transfer.
