Form a connection with your steed; take care of its grooming, start off in the riding pen, and then proceed to amble and gallop into the open countryside. Choose from village paths, woodland tracks, or riverside routes to suit all riding abilities. For adults, the maximum weight limit is 65 kg and the maximum height is 1m70.

We are located in Ban Donkeo Village, near Ban Phanom Village on the road to go to NamKhan Ecolodge Resort. Only 10 minutes by car from the city center of Luang Prabang.

Fantastic morning of riding- highly recommend - Saita and her team provided our family with a fun, educational and well organised morning of pony riding. We had 4 children ranging in age from 5yrs to 9yrs, and the guides did an amazing job instructing and teaching them how to groom, ride and care for the ponies. The children rode through the countryside for 1 hour and our route included the bamboo village. The parents were able to join in by walking behind the riders. We all had an amazing time and I recommend it as a lovely way to spend a morning in Luang Prabang.

The best way to discover the surroundings of Luang Prabang - This stable is a little haven of peace for horses and humans! Between forest, river and traditional village, it is an excellent way to discover Laos from another aspect, with passionate and exciting people, who will be able to talk to you about their country and their horses for hours.
I had the chance to spend a month here, in this place where it is very easy to feel at home. The horses are all adorable and endearing, each in their own way. They are pampered by Saita, Kamphu and the volunteers, and it's impossible to leave without wanting to come back! Do not hesitate to come and discover this universe, you will not regret it

Definitely worth to visit - I was here for a River, forest and village ride and was totally worth it. I had a wonderful evening where I learned about the horses and also a bit more about Lao. Saita, the owner is a wonderful teacher and guide and speaks perfect english. I was a beginner at riding but she explained everything very well and made sure I felt comfortable at all times :) the ride itself was lovely, especially the river part, but it was great that i also brushed the ponies and learned how to put the horse saddle myself. Definitely a great experience if you a looking to do something else in Luang Prabang apart from the typical touristic things :)

Great pony riding experience in beautiful surroundings - My children age 4 and 8 have just ridden down to the river and had a great time. The ponies are fantastic and so well cared for and the children were really well looked after too. We would definitely recommend

Highly recommended!! - Communication from the Namkhan horse stables was excellent from the start, I was even offered the arrangement for a taxi to collect me from my hotel and return. The horses are kept in excellent condition and are clearly loved. We took a late afternoon ride through a beautiful village and surrounding countryside. Rachel and Namkhan took great care of another rider and myself, regularly checking we were in our comfort zones on the ride. I highly recommend this horse riding activity, which is adapted to suit all levels of riding ability. Thank you for such a wonderful memory on my trip to Luang Prubang!

Amazing!!! - Wonderful experience! Had the best time! The ponies are so cute 🥰 and the instructors were very helpful! I haven’t ridden in ten years or so, but I felt very confident after getting to know the pony I was riding and a short riding lesson. 10/10 would recommend! The country side in Luang Prabang is GORGEOUS especially on pony/horse back🐴🩷

The best time ever!! - I had the best time with NamKhan horses. The horses are really friendly and in good shape. My ride was perfect, we went in the river and galoped. I really recommend doing this if you like horses!

Amazing horse riding experience for kids - I brought some friends with their children to Namkhan Horses Stables. The kids had an amazing time and loved the ride. Before the kids went on the ride they learned how to take properly care of a horse and also groomed the ponies. The ride started in the riding area and then continued on a trail in the jungle. The staff here really takes great care of the horses. Highly recommended. I'd bring any friends with children here again.
