Your Italian guide will introduce you to locals whose families have been preparing the foods you will sample for generations. There will be 8-10 stops along the way to taste authentic Lucchese specialties.
Tour highlights include typical handmade fresh pasta from Lucca, wonderful hams and salami, rich tiramisu, delicious ice cream, sheep’s milk cheese from the hills surrounding Lucca, exquisite olive oil tasting and, of course, a selection of local wines. In addition, Paola, a born and bred Lucchese, will enthrall you with stories of food, family feuds, local intrigue and ghosts.

Eat,eat,eat - Paula,I may be mispelling her name, was a fabulous guide. Our group of 6 visited many different food experiences,some with beverages. All great stops with tastings. Very inviting and knowledgeable hosts. Food fabulous!
My husband & I highly recommend this terrific & tasty tour!

You should go! - The food, of course! The variety and the history of some of the shops and particular foods was interesting. The wine cellar and the final stop for light lunch were the best!

Wonderful introduction - Paula was fantastic! Fun and informative. She is a wonderful guide. Absolutely recommend taking this tour. A nice sampling of many foods along with a lot of fun facts about Lucca.

Lucca's wonderful food. - Maria our guide was great. We took our 85year old mother in a wheelchair and she sorted everything to suit. The places we where taken where local and wonderful.

Fantastic food and wine experiences. Magnus Grønneberg in Lucca, Tuscany 8-11 September 2023 - Fantastic food and wine experiences in lovely surroundings. Food tour in idyllic Lucca. wine cellar, vineyards, magical intimate concert with Magnus Grønneberg, etc. Nice company Kåre, Kristin and Espen. We will be back. Recommended!

1st satin Lucca - It ended up being a private tour. Marie was very knowledgeable and she made the tour so much fun! The food was also very very good!

Great tour, great guide!! - When I arrived at the Puccini statue to meet the group, I discovered I was the only taker for that particular day. I would have not been surprised if they cancelled or postponed, but off I went with Paola, my guide, for my individualised experience!!
There were lots of planned stops of course, but I was also able to stop at stores that interested me and chat to Paola about them.
I enjoyed my tour, ate waaaay too much, but was also able to rest afterwards to digest it!!
