Great first day of our Lucca trip with our amazing Guide Giulia! - Our guide Giulia was wonderful. Walking around Lucca with her was just what we needed on our first day. We explored many sites and sampled so much great food. Be hungry if you go because you will leave very satisfied. I would recommend this trip highly especially if you want to get the lay of the land and enjoy the local foods of Lucca. Thanks Giulia for taking such good care of us.

Foodie heaven - Fantastic tour guided by Alessandra. She was very knowledgeable about both the city and the food we experienced. Every stop, and there were 5 in total, were of a local eatery and the food was exceptional. We have even visited some again on other days of our trip. Alessandra recommended we do a tour when we visit Bologna next February and we most certainly will be booking one there !!!

Excellent Food &City Tour - We were just a couple so effectively had a private tour with Alessandra. It was fantastic. She has great knowledge of the city and food scene and every place we visited the food was exceptional. Over 3 hours we strolled through the city seeing the main sites and stopping to eat and chat about the history both local and wider to Italy. We are going to Bologna in February and will be doing the Do Eat Better tour there too !!!

Wonderful and very tasty experience - Alessandra was an excellent guide. The tour is about food not the history of Lucca (though Alessandra did answer all our questions about Lucca and the region). We tasted a number of local and traditional foods, all of which were delicious. First we had cold cuts and cheese - at least a dozen items. Then we went for a pasta meal in a restaurant in the wall. After that, cecina (flatbread made with chickpea flour) followed by a sweet bread made with a hint of aniseed. Finally we had gelato - which was the highlight of many delicious things. We went back three times during the rest of our trip! We were there with a family of three, so five guests in total. Some places would be a bit cramped with the maximum number, but we found it just right.

Lucca food tour - Alessandra was great! She really took time to explain parts of the city not just the food. We had a great group of people and we not at all rushed.

Relaxing food tour around Lucca - Nice relaxing walk around Lucca and good mix of food. Could have done with a little more information and chat about food in Lucca and maybe the history of some of the older restaurants or cafes but overall a very good 3 hrs spent eating and walking around.
