A must see place for all. - I have wanted to visit Lucca for a couple of years and it did not disappoint. We actually parked outside the walls and walked it. A visit to the Tourist centre is a must as there you can get a map of the city and buy tickets for some of the buildings. A visit to the Guinigi Tower is a must. The view is breathtaking and it was great to have shade from the sun. It can get quite busy and we booked for a 11-11.30 am ascent. We enjoyed walking through the city, visiting the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro and the Chiesa di San Michele in Foro. You will need to pay attention to the street signs as you can easily lose your sense of direction, but the inhabitants are always happy to guide you in the right direction. We also took a walk on the city walls and you can hire bikes to travel around the city walls. I saw groups of 3 and 4 travelling together on the same canopied bicycle made for 4. I would definitely go again to see the places that I missed first time around.

Great tour - Our guide was very good, so knowledge. Loved when she shared "legends". My only issue was that it was almost 2 1/2 hours which was a long time to be standing. Overall wevwere very pleased.

Great tour guide, but group too large - Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and communicated very well. However, the tour group size was too large. We had a difficult time hearing our guide because of this.

Good guide but headphones needed - This was a good tour with a knowledgeable guide BUT it would have been so much better if she had used headphones. She was quite softly spoken and unfortunately we missed quite a bit of information as we were moving around the city. It was also raining which really exacerbated the problem. Also she often started talking when the group was not together. Shame, as she was nice and the information really interesting.

Walk in Lucca - Nice walk in the city. Maria explains very well the history and the architecture of the city, underlying the role and the importance of local communities. Maybe the tour requires more than 2 hours to avoid rushes and give more times to pictures and questions. We appreciated especially the tour inside the cathedral.
