Lucca is really a charming little town! - The overall visit was very good and the guide Marta was very knowledgeable! Lucca is a small town but there is a lot to be seen. And it is my grandfather’s place of birth!

Enthusiastic guide with a glimpse in the eye. Recommended - Found this tip via Tripadvisor. Also bought tickets via the app, worked very well. Meeting place was on Tourist Information and easy to find. We had a nice guided tour with historical facts about Lucca from before Christ to the fall of the Roman Empire and the development up to today. Nice and interesting flow through the two hours it lasted. Enthusiastic guide with a glimpse in the eye. Recommended

Buyer Beware!! - I would give zero stars if possible. We arrived to make the tour on the moment it was to begin. There was no one at the sight. Attempted to reach tour guide through mobile app and it would not connect. Waited almost 20 minutes. When we returned to the hotel, on WiFi, I reached out to Tour guide. I received a response that we must have been in a wrong spot. I explained we followed the map provided to us in the confirmation email that guided us to where we waited for the tour guide. I am still waiting for the tour company to “complete its investigation” before I receive a credit. I engaged in a different kind of tour in Lucca the night before and it was great with no issues. Clearly not the same company. I will update if I hear back from company.
