LOCARNO - Weather forecast for end of OCT22 was bad/rainy. Aktualy we experienced one week of blue skies Take your time and visit Locarno (Piazza Grande) by walk thru and find details to get excited. End of Season, the mass tourism has more or less finished, but there are things to do; like travel by daytrips to Centiovally, Ascona, Seaside walking Muralto/Minusio, Madona del Sasso and further up by cablecar, Lugano ect. all by PublicTransports. Or enjoy local food with local wines. Not bad!?

Wonderful Locarno - I attended the Locarno private guided tour with Giorgio. It was a wonderful tour around the lakeside town of Locarno with the highlight being the visit to the Madonna del Sasso, a sanctuary and pilgrimage church in Orselina, above the city of Locarno, where we arrived by a funicular. Giorgio was very knowledgeable about the area and the main sites. Considering this being my first time in Switzerland and Locarno, I absolutely enjoyed the tour and found it very informative, which expanded my knowledge about the local area and the country. We visited the island of Brissago on lake Maggiore by ferry boat and appreciated the delightful views of the lake as well as a botanical garden. I have no hesitation in recommending this guided tour.
