Couldn't be happier - This is a great tour! The pickup was on time. The guide was fantastic - would answer any questions you had even not related to the tour! Her English was very good and she helped everyone order lunch which was so yummy! Both markets were super interesting and the guide told you how much you were expected to pay for some things to help you bargain with the people on the market. We even got to go on the railway market train which was a very unique experience! We were back in Bangkok at the time she stated at the start of the day. Couldn't be happier with this experience.

Best Tour with Best Guide - Jenny - The tour was amazing and Jenny was even more amazing! Best tour guide ever! I highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Bangkok. If possible request Jenny by name. What you see is exactly what you get. I also recommend having some money on hand so that you can support the sellers at the floating market and at the train market. Please also listen to the instructions you get at the train market. A lot of tourists we're standing in the way of the train just to get a selfie at such a dangerous time.

Excellent Experience - will do it again for sure, next time - Grandma Lucky was a good Guide. Really good and informative. Train Market is an experience you should not miss and make sure you do it with this company or another that takes you by train to the market. Long Tail boat to Floating Market is a nice experience and watching all the peddlers on various boats selling food stuffs, souvenirs etc is really interesting but u can choose to hire a paddle boat ticket at THB150 per person I think but we did not do this and instead walked around the market at the platform for the Floating Market and sat down for some food. Negotiate the menu price as pricing is crazy. Food was good. Finally only paid THB200 for Seafood Tom Yum and THB100 for Morning Glory (KangKung) and THB40 for two bowls of rice. We had our own bottle water. Tour Guide will give you a cold one before you leave the floating market on the van back to Bangkok

Very nice - We visited the railway market. It's free. You have a good time because it is very typical. When the train passes it brushes past the hawker stalls. To have.

Maeklong and Damnoensaduak market day out - Good tour showing daily life of the market on water and very interesting how the railway market packs up and unpacks just before the train arrives. Our guide Meow was informative and entertaining.

A Must to experience - If in the area, you must visit just for the experience! Beware of the smell - it is one of the worst I have experienced and I have been in post hurricane areas with rotting animals for ten days. Go for the experience - it is quite a thing. Bought a shirt from a vendor and he was friendly and zero pressure to buy. Loved that.

Domnoen saduk and railway market - We had arranged this tour via TRIPADVISOR and i was a little disappointed because we had two guides and they had occupied for five vans. So they had to worried for many tourists with different interesting. Mr. Sang did the job so well only compliments to him and to another guide too as well as to driver. We were there only hour an half what by me opinion is not enough the same situation on Train market.

Maeklong railway market and floating market tour from Bangkok - We were advised pickup between 615-630 then told 530-6 am. Driver didnt show until 7. After filling a small van we left. Driver was clearly trying to make up time. He drove way too fast and we felt very unsafe. There was no communication from him. We suddenly stopped he opened door and said return at 910. Where were we, where were we supposed to go? When everyone started asking more details he walked us to train market and told us to make sure we retuned to van promptly after train passed. We didnt arrive as early as scheduled so had 20 mins at this location only. When we returned to van he drove off and suddenly stopped in parking lot and once again gave no details Thankfully there was a guide on site who directed us on what to do and where/when to meet. She was a welcome addition. The group were then put in boats and said we would be gone for about 15 mins. We arrived at a completely different location which was a surprise to everyone Those who participated in half day tour were then sent back to the van. The driver was clearly in a hurry and we felt very uncomfortable with the drive back to Bangkok. At some point he pulled into a gas station opened door and said 5 mins. Nobody wanted to get out which seemed to annoy the driver who was more interested in having a cigarette. Oddly when he returned to van he passed 2 bottles of water into the back of van. Was the group supposed to share? The saving grace is that being experienced travellers we were able to make our way around without guidance. The train market and floating village were interesting but if you want to enjoy the drive from city and learn about what you will be seeing book with a different tour company.

Very Poor - We booked for the railway market and the floating market only. Very disappointed to discover that we would be taken to a place where animals such as tigers and elephants are mistreated for 'entertainment'. This was not what we signed up for, and I feel betrayed in that inadvertently 'legitimised' said mistreatment of the animals by my presence at that place. I strongly protest against such unadvised add-ons to the tour as booked, and will reconsider my use of TripAdvisor in the future, at the least I will be doing more research. However, I would like to add that Nok, our tour guide did a good job. Robert C Barker

Maeklong Railway Market & Damnoensaduak Floating Market Tour from Bangkok - We were picked up from our hotel at 6am in a mini van by a male driver and a female guide. After picking up 3 other groups and going to 2 wrong hotels, we finally arrived at the Maeklong Railway Market slightly after 9am. We were rushed by the guide to quickly run towards the train to watch it pass by. Although we arrived after the shops have kept their awnings, it was still a delightful sight to watch the shopkeepers reset their stalls. After the train passed, our guide told us we only had 10 minutes to walk through the railway market. A minute later, she was gone. We were very puzzled as to why we had to rush, but we still abided by her timing and we literally fast walked to the end of the market without much sight-seeing. Up in the van, we thought we were heading to the next location on the itinerary, which was supposedly the Damnoensaduak floating market. When we alighted, we were told by the guide to go learn how to make coconut oil instead. True enough, there were locals with huge frying woks full of oil, and many stalls selling bottled coconut oil, soft drinks, souvenirs, etc. As we felt it was not part of the itinerary, we were unwilling to participate. Back in the van again, we thought the floating market was next. And once again, we alighted and were told by the guide to go for an elephant ride instead. This is so ridiculous! We had only 10 minutes to tour the Maeklong Railway Market that we paid for, but yet we were spending so much time on these two other locations that were not part of the tour! We even re-read our booking details to make sure there were no fine prints that we might have missed out. What frustrated us further, was the lack of information on this particularly touristy attraction - elephant riding, monkey show, photo taking with drowsy tigers on chain and baby elephants on chain. We sincerely hope these animals have not been abused... Eventually, when everyone became even more uninterested and restless, the guide allowed us to return back to the van. Finally we proceeded to the Damnoensaduak floating market. Upon arrival, the tour guide separated the group into two longtail boats and gave no further information. As we were in the boat without the tour guide, after the 20 minutes ride ended, we were once again left to wander around on our own. Throughout the tour, there was close to zero guided commentary. In fact, the guide we had barely spoke English. We had difficulties communicating with her on several occasions such as asking for directions to the nearest washroom. Essentially, this tour served its purpose only as a means of transport. The railway market and floating market are two very interesting places that are worth a visit, but if you are looking to learn more about these places especially from a local's perspective, we suggest using a different tour agency.
