Amazing Ancient City - What an amazing place to visit full of beautiful landscapes, buildings and statues. It’s a huge site and one can spend hours just taking in the scenery of the whole area of this ancient city. There are a couple of cafes where you can grab a quick snack. It is advisable to hire a goff buggy as the site is too big to cover just on foot even for the most avid walkers. We had an amazing time visiting this awesome place and would certainly love to go back again some time. Definitely worth a visit and would recommend.

Very nice tour! - Our tour guides were absolutely wonderful! They answered every question we had and were always willing to take pictures of us in front of the beautiful temples here in the Bangkok area:)

A Visual bonanza for the culture tourists - Muang Boran offers a feast to your eyes and for those who likes architecture. It is a gorgeous place that absorbs you with its presentation of the architecture, of the dazzling colour and the variety of the exhibiting structures, ranging from temples, to stilted houses to an old market (with puppet show theatre) . Whether it is the five-headed dragon boat or the royal barge procession or the Guan Yin, goddess of mercy or the Chinese folk lore of the eight saints crossing the ocean, or simply a market place or northern villages, there is so much to learn and enjoy. It is also thought-provoking though description of the places are not very detailed. We used a golf buggy to move around and still we had to be selective as there was simply too much to take in and too many places to take great snaps. Price is not cheap and it is two-tiered : one for residents and another for foreigners. The only downside is the F&B provisions. There is no food served inside (maybe due to Covid) and the drinks offered are limited in choices. So bring your own if you are picky. Be prepared to spend at least half a day , and could be more if there are more shady places to sit around and enjoy some refreshment. All in all, a great place for a culture tourist, not for a thrill seeker.

Very cool place - Palaces, markets, houses, temples, even entire villages recreated. Many actual sized though most of the larger palaces and temples are to scale. Our tour guide explained many things like what were the unique architectural styles of each region or some of the mythology. I wish there had been more of that but it was a very enjoyable visit to “humanities largest outdoor museum”.

I did not rate this tour... - I did not rate this tour as excellent because this is only replica and there was a lot of renovation of building that we could not be see. Above all the driver/guide was poor, she did not show any interest to be there and wanted us to take a bike or golf cart and do it by ourself in order for her to sit and relax. We requested a guide in order to have him/her to take us around in order to see as much as we could. The replica that we saw were very nice. If the tour is that we should be by ourself it should be mentioned in the description of the tour.

Nice day out in a relaxing atmosphere - Great place this. Beautiful grounds and big enough to spend at least 3 hours, but I see no problems doing a full day here if wanted. Bicycles are very old and they should start to renovate or replace them. When I visit the floating market was sadly under renovations. But it looks like it will be great once done. A solid 4 if no renovations and a 5 if the bicycles was replaced or the golf cars was cheaper to rent. Instead of rent per hour should be half day or full day price.

Beautiful but… - Beautiful park with lots to see. The reason my rating is low, is that they offer elephant rides and I don’t endorse animal cruelty.

TOURIST TRAP - I do not recommend this place, far from Bangkok. Entrance 700 Bath too expensive for what there is to see. For me it's a tourist trap. Bikes in very poor condition, many sites poorly maintained even closed.

Gimmicky place with poor animal handling practices - This place was very gimmicky so it would have already not been worth the ticket fee for that. The worst part though was that I was not aware of elephants “being trained” and available for rides there. It was heartbreaking to see a little elephant “dancing” while the “trainer” hit its feet with a stick.
