Additional Information

Kick off with an exciting khlong boat ride down to a secret district within Old Bangkok, rarely visited by foreigners. Get set for Bangkok’s tastiest food tour. This tour is only available to 8 exclusive guests each day.

We’ll jump in a tuk tuk, and then take a walking tour to some of Bangkok’s most interesting cuisine, found in one of the city’s oldest markets. Your guide will lead you to the best street food chefs that have been going for decades, family owned eateries that are catering to the crowd of hungry locals. Get your taste buds buzzing with crispy hoi tod, crispy pork belly, zingy kanom buang yuan salad, and a ‘flavour bomb’ of leaf-wrapped miang kham. Get stuck into delicious Thai curry, and over a dozen more lip-smackingly good delicacies.

It’s not all eating though. Between courses, you’ll discover the remnants of Bangkok’s oldest cinema, and venture to where royal dessert recipes are made. Forget pad Thai on Khao San Road, and dive into the real cuisine of Thailand.

A GREAT food tour - This is a great good tour! Pew was so informative and engaging. There was a lot of food, but all of it so different and interesting. There are enough breaks between stops, using bus, boat, and tuk-tuks to make it fun and enjoyable. Definitely worth it!!

Informative and thoughtful - Had a really good time with Fon and Om showing us around. The meet up point is easy to find. We got to travel via boat and tuktuk to many street vendors! Some stores looked small and shabby but the food was smacking delicious! We enjoyed the breakfast protein wrapped in banana leaf and the som tum with added salted egg and bbq pork. The dishes chosen were all suited to our palettes. We passed a local cart that sold Thai tacos. It wasn't part of the tour but the girls bought us some any way! They also kept telling us if we'd like more to eat, please tell them. Very considerate and thoughtful. There are a variety of savoury and sweet dishes. Make sure to come on an empty stomach! Fon was very informative. She taught us about the history of specific landmarks and geography of local groups. Fon was also detailed when explaining to us about the differences in foods across local groups. The tour was very well organised. Fon was guiding us and Om helped organise our tables and foods so everytime was immaculately timed. Be mindful that there is some walking!

Great for a solo traveler who loves to eat - Experienced food (do not eat before, trust me, you will be fed) that I would have never had the opportunity to without these knowledgable and super friendly guides. I find the hardest part of traveling solo is not having someone to share my food experience with. I really enjoyed dining with others and the conversation about the food (and our different lives). Great afternoon.

Great day on the food tour - My daughters and I all loved our food tour with Annie. She provided great historic perspective and organized an all around wonderful delicious day. Annie introduced us to a lot of traditional Thai dishes we hadn’t tried before all prepared by local food merchants with decades of experience who have perfected their crafts. We highly recommend this tour but show up hungry and plan to leave stuffed with amazing flavors!!!

More than just a food tour - I cannot thank our guides today, Fon and Pang enough, they were so informative and we laughed some much. They made us feel very relaxed from the start. A full explanation was given at the start of what we would be doing today. We travelled by boat, tuk tuk and bus. Pang arranged all travel tickets so was just for us to find a seat and be taken to next destination. Thank goodness we read reviews before hand and did not have breakfast so we're hungry because there is so much food and so delicious. There were 6 on our tour and the food was put into 2 large bowls or plates and Fon explained all Ingredients of each dish, one lady had an agg allergy so Fon made sure her dish was egg free. Throughout the tour she explained all the signs and pictures that are on the boards outside the restaurants, if it has a green bowl on the sign it shows excellent food. Some of the places we ate were 3 of generations now. Fon was so knowledgeable about Bangkok and could answer any questions we asked. You are sure in for a treat with this tour.

Go hungry, leave with the knowledge to explore on your own. - Well worth the price. You won't leave hungry after tasting a good number of amazing dishes from local vendors/chefs. Johnny and Mikey are great guides who explain the history of the restaurants/food stands/markets while helping you navigate a canal boat, Tuk Tuk, and city bus. With a few hours and baht to spare, this tour will help alleviate the aimless wandering you may find yourself doing in a Bangkok food market when trying to decide what and where to eat.

One of the greatest tours I’ve ever been on. - The food was excellent and our tour guides Jonny and mikey, were amazing. Gave a great insight into Bangkok street food, transport, and general life in the city. There is a great range of food from meaty main courses to sweet treats aswell. Would definitely definitely recommend - completely worth the price.
