Highlights
  • Stortorget - This is the starting point for the self-guided audio walking tour about the 1829 Locus Peccatorum murder. The square is the medieval heart of Lund. The exact age of this square is unknown, but it likely dates back to the 1100s.
  • Adelgatan - Pause outside the building known as Locus Peccatorum, or “The House of Sins.” This is the site of the 1829 student murder.
  • Lundagard Park - Walk into the park where Kungshuset, the location of the murderer’s trial, once stood.
  • Bredgatan 2 - Stop outside Wickmanska gården. This estate, originally built in the 1700s, was one of Lund’s best-preserved buildings until it burned down in 2002. The current house is a replica of the original.
  • Lund Cathedral - Pause outside Lund Cathedral, an iconic Lutheran church built in the 1100s. On Easter Day of 1830, an announcement was made here, ordering one man from every household in town to guard the murderer’s execution site.
  • Kulturen in Lund - Museum of Cultural History and Open-Air Museum - The tour concludes outside Kulturen, an open-air museum that also displays some items mentioned during the tour.

Great way to explore Lund with an app that could use some redesign - This is a great way to explore Lund. I would have given it 5 stars of the download and registration process wasn't so bad. The app could certainly use a redesign. I still would recommend it but make sure you are ready to go before you leave from your home. When door example you are registering through the tripadvisor you will receive a code which you need to fetch from your email, after which you have to start over. 2 way payment does not work through tripadvisor. But if you have able to install and pay for the tour, it is definitely worth it.
