Beautiful views, wonderful people. - This was a lovely tour run by people who clearly love the area and love what they do. We had Captain Steve as our guide and he made sure that we were very well taken care of and having an interesting trip. Seals, gulls, eagles made an appearance and the views were lovely. The snacks and conversation after was the perfect end to the experience.

Unbelievably awesome experience - Well worth the money. Awesome tour of the entire area. Our guide was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. She was very accommodating as we had mobility issues with upcoming knee replacements. She made an effort to show/explain what the others had seen when touring a couple of the islands. Highly recommend taking this tour.

Ransom's Lunenburg Retreat Zodiac Coastal Tour near Blue Rocks - My son (13 years old) & I thoroughly enjoyed the zodiac tour with the Ransom Lunenburg Retreat. We went in August 2024, on the morning tour, and although the day was cloudy and slightly cool, it was wonderful spending a couple of hours on nice, clean water in the zodiac. We even saw many seals, and black backed gulls.
Jason and his dad, Steve, are great captains, storytellers and guides. They are friendly and passionate about the excursion. This is an eco tour so you are not allowed to take home any rocks.
Jason's mom even had freshly baked, homemade cookies, lemonade and other treats waiting for us at the dock when we returned to the retreat. If you are looking for something to do that is off the beaten track in Nova Scotia, Ransom's Lunenburg Retreat zodiac tour is definitely the one.

I’d Call It the Bald Eagle Tour? Amazing! - I highly recommend this two hour Zodiac tour with our Guide Jason. He is a true professional (also being an Arctic and Antarctica tour guide). You must see Lunenberg from the water to appreciate the true beauty. We not only saw Bald Eagles, dozens of seals and deer, but we were able to get off the boat two times and explore the islands, all while Jason continued to teach us about the marine environment. He does it in a way that is interesting but not intrusive. We were surprised how much we loved this tour and at the end, there were adult drinks and homemade cookies. Do not miss this tour if you are in Lunenberg!

Excellent - This was just the ticket ! A beautiful day well executed, knowledgeable and informative.
Deb and Jason were welcoming and treated us to some lovely drinks on the dock at the end of the trip. Highly recommend,
The seals and wildlife were a bit shy that day - but overall lovely ocean like glass.

Perfect “on the water” experience! - Exceptional experience start to finish. Jason and his wife are professional photographers and seasoned adventure tour operators. They have extensive experience running Zodiacs in the Arctic and Antarctic and have top-notch skills and equipment. From their hearty “Hello, friends!” greeting, to an excellent tour, and finally a lovely nosh on their private dock, the Ransoms deliver a tour reminiscent of high-end adventure expeditions. We look forward to connecting with them again in the near future.

Fantastical expedition - The welcome and preparation are very comforting, the experience is nothing short of breathtaking, fantastical views, close by wildlife in total respect of their natural buble and loads of interesting information. I got pictures back from this trip not quite like the others and will happily share them with the owners, also avid photographers. Also, very stable sea ride on those zodiacs, nobody felt uneasy during the whole time of the exploration and even shared a tea, coffee and treats back in the shore.
