Your dreams of surfing can now become reality at La Pared Beach in Luquillo, Puerto Rico’s favored spot for beginner surfers. Situated on the accessible east coast, your guide will be none other than Brian Ramos, a former National Surf Champion. Filled with plenty of fun, this lesson equips you with all necessary knowledge to confidently catch a wave and leave you eager for more!

Participants have a buffer of 30 minutes check-in prior to official start time at Surfing Puerto Rico . We are located near the roundabout at La Pared Beach. You will meet your instructor in the sand by the Surfboards!

60 year old lady from Michigan surfs! - Much better than expected, in fact, it was great. The water was warm and the instructor, Sebastian, did an awesome job helping everyone in the group get up and surfing. As a 60 year old woman who has had total hip replacement, reconstructive knee surgery and numerous scopes, I was doubtful about getting up. I did and it was fun. I'm not a strong swimmer but felt safe in the location and confident with the instructors. In fact, I wish we started out a little deeper so we had more time to ride the wave!

8th time at Surfing Puerto Rico! - Back to Surfing Puerto Rico for our 8th time! We began taking our family to Brian when our kids were young. Now that the kids are older they always want to return to Surfing Puerto, now with Kali. The kids love the action of surfing and getting better with each trip...Mom and Dad love that Kali and her team make the day safe, easy, and fun as we chill with our doggy on the beach and watch.

Would recommend for families! - My husband, my daughter (9) and myself were all able to get up multiple times. Our instructor, Sebastian, was very patient and kind. We had a blast and would do it again.

What a BLAST! - This was the highlight of my trip! Ángel was very good with his lesson explanations and also explaining rip currents. He and Claire were patient, friendly, and managed to make us all successful. The best part-they got AMAZING photos of us all in action! I feel so BAD A$$ whenever I look at those, haha!

Great lesson - The lesson was so good for my kids- 17 and 15. All three instructors were attentive and encouraging. It was a great experience for their first time surfing.

Great time surfing - Great time ages 8-42 and everyone was able to catch a wave. A little intense when you see the big waves but they keep you close to shore and very safe. They work very hard to learn your name and make sure everyone has fun, highly recommend.

BEST SURF CLASS - We had a BLAST! My girlfriend and I were beginners and it couldn’t have been better. The instructors, Angel, Seba & Claire were fun, attentive and informative. They got everyone up on the board in no time, were great with the kids and also took amazing pictures that they airdrop after the class. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Highlight of our trip - Me and my family if three had a blast. Instructors were very attentive and made sure that we were all safe while having an amazing time. They explained rip currents into detail and never left us alone, they also let us know what the flags on the beach meant and what areas in Luquillo are safe to swim. We cant wait to come back next year. Thank you Angel, Seba and Claire!!!

Surf Lesson - The instructors were friendly and attentive. This is critical because this location has many drownings. It is not a swimming beach. We were very disappointed in the area. Everything is locked up and shut down. We couldn’t even locate a restroom. The tour drives up, unloads surf boards, does the lesson then packs up and drives away. Our lesson was also not the entire 2 hours as advertised.
