The UNESCO registered Lavaux region is a site to behold. Dating back more than 1000 years, the region is renowned for not only its panoramic views of Lake Geneva but also its sought after wines.
In this easy and fascinating afternoon walking tour**, you will discover the many stories, cultures and history of this region and sample wines from local winemakers.
Hosted by Marc, a UNESCO World Heritage Guide, wine educator/sommelier and journalist. He will share many stories unknown stories from amongst the vines. He will also share the art of wine-tasting and appreciation, whilst you uncover the enigma of Swiss wine and leave with many tales to tell of this beautiful region.

- This is a family friendly experience but if you have young children, do reach out to us.
- The walk is approx 3 km (1.8 miles), comfortable walking shoes, bottled water and sunblock/hat are advised are advised.
- Under Swiss Law anyone 16 and over can take part in wine tasting activities

We meet guests directly at the Bossiere train station on the edge of Lavaux and proceed through the vines to Grandvaux. A direct train to this station leaves from Lausanne main station.

Don’t skip this! - Marc was a fantastic guide, extremely knowledgeable about the region and history. He catered the tour around our interests making for a very memorable experience.

Fantastic time! - I highly recommend this wine tour, you won’t be disappointed! First off, Marc is fantastic, like all the reviews say. It was just my Husband and I on the tour and we could have hung with Marc all day! He is knowledgeable, personable, and a great time! We enjoyed many wines, and Marc helped us branch out from our usual based on what we like to drink. The walking tour is through breath taking vineyards, and each stop is perfect. Thanks again Marc!

Amazing wine tour with Marc! - What an amazing day we had in Lavaux! Marc is fantastic! He shares a lot of interesting informations. He is a very nice person. He is passionate and has a lot of knowledge. The views are incredible. We taste nice wines. It is a great excursion! We would strongly recommend. And we did a lot of wine tours around the world. In Vino Veritas - My now fiancé and I toured with Marc yesterday through the Lavaux vineyards and are so glad that the tour became our engagement story. I have never taken such an amazing tour, nor been so impressed by a tour guide.
Marc was a captivating storyteller, a phenomenal photographer, and my co-conspirator for the proposal. He was in on the plan from the beginning, but was entirely flexible when I was inspired by the first winery along the route.
I would recommend this tour to anyone that likes a scenic nature walk, has a palate with depth, and wants to be whisked away on a tour of a lifetime by a vino virtuoso.

We chose this tour as... - We chose this tour as travelling with a toddler and a baby, it does say suitable for strollers.
Our host marc, was very passionate about ensuring the tour met expectations and coordinated with us early to check we would be ok without the stroller. The route is about 3km of vineyard routes with steps and some tree roots, so D to def not stroller friendly. We decided to go ahead with the baby carrier and the toddler riding on shoulders when he needed to, and it was perfect with lots of stops for stories and information along the way.
We had a lovely afternoon, learning about the variety of Swiss wines, and our toddler loved seeing the many trains passing through the area.
Thank you marc for a wonderful afternoon. 10/10

An unforgettable experience! - This has been the absolute highlight of our trip to Montreux. Marc is super polite, super helpful, fun, and incredibly knowledgeable about wine, the region, and art of tasting. We learned, we laughed, and we will never forget the experience. Book it NOW!

Excellent tour of the Lavaux vineyards - We knew very little about Swiss wines before our tour with the very personable Marc. He gave us an excellent walking tour of the beautiful Lavaux vineyards starting near Lutry. He's an expert in Swiss wines, so we learned a lot, and we enjoyed the stories he told us about the area's history and the wines. We stopped at two excellent wineries for tastings, along the way, with plenty of delicious meats and cheeses at the second stop, to complement the wines. We appreciated the advice he gave us regarding touring Lutry before we met up with him, as well as his flexibility in meeting place. He also gave us excellent advice on places to eat in the area as we toured different places, and even for the second part of trip in Beaune, France. We highly recommend this tour!

Unesco World Heritage Site + Guided Walking Tour + Swiss Quality Wines - We had the most incredible experience on this walking wine tour in Lavaux with the enthusiastic and knowledgeable Marc, our guide. The quality of the wines we tasted was surprisingly good, given that past experiences with Swiss wines didn't always hit the mark.
One of my personal highlights was visiting a wine estate where the winemaker infuses his wine with jazz music, creating a unique and unforgettable tasting experience. The vibrations from the music seemed to enhance the flavors of the wine, making for a one-of-a-kind visit.
This walking tour with Marc in the World Heritage Site is definitely not to be missed when in Switzerland. Five stars for excellence!

Delightful Vineyard Walk - From the moment we set foot on the picturesque vineyard grounds, we knew we were in for a treat. Our guide, Marc, was a font of knowledge and passion for all things wine-related. His anecdotes about the region's winemaking history and Swiss viticulture added depth and context to our experience.
We were treated to an array of interesting wines, from crisp whites to robust reds. Marc's expertise truly shone as he guided us through the tasting notes, helping us appreciate the nuances of each pour.
The wine walk also offered stunning views of the Swiss countryside in an idyllic setting. No hiking experience is required.
