The UNESCO registered Lavaux region is a site to behold. Dating back more than 1000 years, the region is renowned for not only its panoramic views of Lake Geneva but also its sought after wines.
In this easy and fascinating afternoon walking tour**, you will discover the many stories, cultures and history of this region and sample wines from local winemakers.
Hosted by Marc, a UNESCO World Heritage Guide, wine educator/sommelier and journalist. He will share many stories unknown stories from amongst the vines. He will also share the art of wine-tasting and appreciation, whilst you uncover the enigma of Swiss wine and leave with many tales to tell of this beautiful region.

- This is a family friendly experience but if you have young children, do reach out to us.
- The walk is approx 3 km (1.8 miles), comfortable walking shoes, bottled water and sunblock/hat are advised are advised.

We meet guests directly at the Bossiere train station on the edge of Lavaux and proceed through the vines to Grandvaux. A direct train to this station leaves from Lausanne main station.

Learned lots and laughed lots too!! - Marc really individualized the experience... He was truly an expert in the wine world in the area and shared his knowledge enthusiastically.. One of the best tour guides I have had in a while.. at first I thought it was a bit pricey, but it was worth every penny! Stops at 2 wineries really gave us a flavor of the locals, who were all friendly and welcoming.. Charcuterie and beautiful sunset to end the tour was fantastic...

Fantastic wine tour - All the other positive reviews are right - this tour was the best part of our trip to Lausanne! Marc made the entire experience so fun and informative. He was incredibly helpful and communicative from the point of booking onwards, providing us with all the details of what we needed to know before the day and lots of recommendations for the rest of our trip in the local area.
Marc is very knowledgeable about the local area and wine - you get so much more out of the experience than just tasting some wines (which were all fantastic by the way!). We ended up purchasing some from each of the wineries we visited. He was ready for any question, even contentious ones about certain kinds of wine :). We were on the trip for my birthday and he went out of his way to make it extra special as well, which was very appreciated!
Highly recommend - don't hesitate to book!

Gorgeous wine walk - Our tour guide Marc was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and engaging. We also got an exceptional weather day. The temperature was perfect for meandering through the vines to our ultimate spot for wine tasting. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great experience - it has our highest recommendation! - This walk was much different than other vineyard tours and events that we've experienced before. Marc's knowledge was impressive, and the small, intimate settings of the various domains was so different than the larger operations we've seen previously. He knew all the locals and lived and worked with and in the midst of them. Although we had some rain during our walk, the scenery was spectacular, his manner professional and courteous, and the experience memorable.

Fantastic time! - I highly recommend this wine tour, you won’t be disappointed! First off, Marc is fantastic, like all the reviews say. It was just my Husband and I on the tour and we could have hung with Marc all day! He is knowledgeable, personable, and a great time! We enjoyed many wines, and Marc helped us branch out from our usual based on what we like to drink. The walking tour is through breath taking vineyards, and each stop is perfect. Thanks again Marc!

Amazing wine tour with Marc! - What an amazing day we had in Lavaux! Marc is fantastic! He shares a lot of interesting informations. He is a very nice person. He is passionate and has a lot of knowledge. The views are incredible. We taste nice wines. It is a great excursion! We would strongly recommend. And we did a lot of wine tours around the world. In Vino Veritas - My now fiancé and I toured with Marc yesterday through the Lavaux vineyards and are so glad that the tour became our engagement story. I have never taken such an amazing tour, nor been so impressed by a tour guide.
Marc was a captivating storyteller, a phenomenal photographer, and my co-conspirator for the proposal. He was in on the plan from the beginning, but was entirely flexible when I was inspired by the first winery along the route.
I would recommend this tour to anyone that likes a scenic nature walk, has a palate with depth, and wants to be whisked away on a tour of a lifetime by a vino virtuoso.

We chose this tour as... - We chose this tour as travelling with a toddler and a baby, it does say suitable for strollers.
Our host marc, was very passionate about ensuring the tour met expectations and coordinated with us early to check we would be ok without the stroller. The route is about 3km of vineyard routes with steps and some tree roots, so D to def not stroller friendly. We decided to go ahead with the baby carrier and the toddler riding on shoulders when he needed to, and it was perfect with lots of stops for stories and information along the way.
We had a lovely afternoon, learning about the variety of Swiss wines, and our toddler loved seeing the many trains passing through the area.
Thank you marc for a wonderful afternoon. 10/10
