This site, a pinnacle of historical worship, was built from the early Middle Kingdom through to the Graeco-Roman period.
Next, visit the Luxor Temple, constructed by Amunhotep III during the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom and later completed by Ramesses II in the 19th Dynasty. Ramesses II, one of the most renowned kings of the 19th Dynasty, ruled Egypt for approximately 67 years. The temple is dedicated to the great god Amun-Ra, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu, collectively known as the Theban triad. Don’t miss the Obelisk of Ramses II standing before the 1st Pylon.
