- Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues located on the west bank of the Nile River near Luxor, Egypt. Carved from quartzite sandstone, each statue stands about 18 meters (60 feet) tall and depicts the seated figure of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, hands resting on his knees. Originally guarding the entrance to Amenhotep III’s mortuary temple, the statues have weathered centuries of history, including earthquakes and repairs. The northern colossus was known for producing mysterious sounds during the Roman period, contributing to their association with the mythical figure Memnon. Today, the Colossi of Memnon stand as imposing remnants of ancient Egyptian architecture and attract tourists fascinated by their colossal size and historical significance.

Excellent - The trip was enjoyable. The guide had a lot of information and moved on time. The car was very clean and the driver was friendly. He was followed up by the company manager on every trip. Everything was excellent.

Don't hesitate! BOOK THIS WONDERFUL TOUR! - An exceptional tour! From the start 5 ⭐Mr. Omar contacted us. Gave us all of the details. he also communicated through to the end of the tour. Our guide was full of knowledge about the history that involved them. Our driver navigated us through the west bank expertly. If this is an example of the tours Travelling to Egypt provide them I will be booking with them again!!!
