The valley is located on the west bank of the Nile, opposite Thebes (modern Luxor), within the heart of the Theban Necropolis.

Unfinished Obelisk - The Unfinished Obelisk is an ancient Egyptian monument located in Aswan, renowned for its massive size and intriguing history. Commissioned by Pharaoh Hatshepsut during the 15th century BC, this obelisk was intended to be the largest ever carved from a single piece of granite. Measuring approximately 41.75 meters (137 feet) in length and weighing around 1,200 tons, it remains partially embedded in the bedrock, offering insight into the techniques used by ancient craftsmen. The obelisk was abandoned due to cracks that appeared during its construction, providing a fascinating glimpse into the ambitions and challenges of ancient Egyptian engineering.
