Your tour guide and private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor, or a pre-arranged meeting point.

  • Valley of the Kings - The Valley of the Kings, nestled on the west bank of the Nile near Luxor, Egypt, is a testament to ancient Egyptian royalty. This necropolis served as the final resting place for pharaohs and nobles of the New Kingdom period. Its intricate tombs, adorned with hieroglyphs and colorful murals, provide a glimpse into the afterlife beliefs of the ancient Egyptians.

  • Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Adjacent to the Valley of the Kings lies the stunning Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari. This mortuary temple, dedicated to the female pharaoh Hatshepsut, is an architectural marvel with its terraced design blending seamlessly into the natural rock formations.

  • Colossi of Memnon - Further north, the Colossi of Memnon stand proudly, guarding the Theban necropolis. These massive stone statues depict Pharaoh Amenhotep III and once adorned the entrance to his mortuary temple.

Private tour in Luxor - We chose a specific option with the company to start at 9 am and get pickup from the airport. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our guide Amin and his driver Ramadan. There could not have been a more seamless arrival, pick-up, and beginning of the tour. We were immediately given a great history of the Karnak Temple, which we would be visiting. The temple itself was amazing, and Amin is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about ancient Egyptian history. We saw Luxor Temple next, which was also excellent. We were taken excellent care of, getting bottles of water, Egyptian pounds in change, and opportunities to get money from ATMs. With Amin, we felt completely at ease and were able to enjoy the beauty of this city. The West Bank had our food stop, which was tasty, and you only pay for drinks and tip. We saw tombs and another huge temple in the afternoon, with boat rides across the Nile in between. There was no pressure to purchase extras or see additional tombs, but we would recommend doing this if you can. All in all, a great tour - be sure to ask for Amin.

A great way to see Luxor in a short time. - This was undoubtedly one of the best tours I've ever been on. Khalid was incredible. Knowledgeable is an understatement. He was kind, funny, and took great photos. I was pregnant and traveling with 3 friends, and he made sure I was comfortable every step of the way— even letting me rest in the private shuttle for a bit. The restaurant for lunch is clean, the food tasty, and the service great. I couldn't recommend this tour more highly! From beginning to end, it was a wonderful way to see Luxor!

Luxor - wonderful guide - Hassan was an outstanding guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his work. He was also very friendly. He had an excellent plan that was executed flawlessly. You will want to book Hassan as he is the perfect guide you need. Thank you for taking such great care of us during our visit to your beautiful city!! Adel the driver was also very good, kind, and willing to help our group in any way possible. Hassan and Adel even came up with a plan to return us a little early because we were having some stomach issues. They truly took care of us with the highest level of excellence!

Ancient egypt till new kingdom - Sam took 3 of us on this tour as well as visiting Luxor and Karnak temples and the avenue of the sphinxes in one day. We were packing in a lot because we only had three days in Luxor. His English proficiency and understanding are great. He is a really nice, fun individual. We spent a little longer at the Valley of the Kings than we probably should've because we explored 2 extra tombs, so he was concerned about us having time to do Karnak and Luxor temples, so he arranged for us to take the boat across instead of having to take the 45-minute ride around and over the bridge with the driver so we could make it to lunch on time and still have plenty of time for Luxor and Karnak. The driver arrived at the restaurant just as we were finishing! Don't miss the Avenue of the Sphinxes, it just opened four months ago and was impressive. If it wouldn't have taken too long and hadn't been so hot (even though it was winter), I would've been tempted to walk from Luxor Temple to Karnak Temple. We added King Tut's tomb just to say we've been in it and it was OK but unless you just want to say you've been in Tut's tomb, other tombs were much more impressive. We also visited the tomb of SETI I. It was the last tomb we did and by that point they were getting fairly crowded with people. I would recommend SETI I because you're paying an extra fee and it was not crowded at all and was one of the larger, better-preserved tombs. Sam is very knowledgeable and helpful, one of the best guides I have ever enjoyed! If you are in Luxor, be sure to request Sam.

We had a full day with her and visited the Valley of the Kings, Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, Hatshepsut Temple (say her name! lol) and she took us to some beautiful shops. You can tell she is beloved and respected, and highly regarded by the locals, which made us feel confident that we were in good hands! She is the best guide in Luxor! I will definitely be back soon to visit!

The best guy in Luxor - Amazing Egyptologist Shereen guided us through the entire Luxor both West Bank along with driver Hossam. She has exceptional knowledge of the entire Egyptian history and excellent customer service. We also stopped by the Sekhmet souvenir store where handcrafted pieces of Egyptian souvenirs were being made and sold by the locals of Luxor with a wonderful collection of bespoke souvenirs across all price ranges. They also provided valuable information about every piece and the process of making it. They also offered the items at very competitive prices.

Highly recommend - I traveled from Cairo to Luxor by plane, and was met by Salwa at the airport. The day began with introductions and a thorough briefing of the itinerary. Salwa was extremely knowledgeable and wonderfully accommodating. She paced the day based on my interests and was extremely responsive to my questions and interests. I would never have been able to cover the east and west banks alone without her expertise and guidance. I highly recommend Eternal Egypt Tours; the communication was flawless from the moment I booked until the tour was completed with Salwa! Thanks again, Salwa, I hope to see you again soon with my family.
