Valley of The Kings - After breakfast, you’ll be picked up to begin your unforgettable day with a drive to the west bank to visit the Valley of the Kings. Here, the pharaohs of the New Kingdom carved their tombs into the mountains to hide their treasures and protect their mummies.
-
Howard Carter House - Next, drive to the domed mud-brick house where Howard Carter lived during his search for Tutankhamun’s tomb. Surrounded by a garden on an otherwise barren slope above the road from Deir Al Bahari to the Valley of the Kings, the house has been restored and decorated with pictures and tools from the excavations. An exact replica of Tutankhamun’s burial chamber has been constructed at the edge of the garden, along with an exhibition related to the discovery of the tomb.
-
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Then, proceed to the mortuary temple of the famous Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari. Discover her beautiful temple and the intriguing story of her and her nephew.
-
Ramesseum (Mortuary Temple of Ramses II) - Visit the Ramesseum Temple, considered the memorial (or mortuary) temple of Pharaoh Ramses II. Located in the Theban Necropolis in Upper Egypt, on the west bank of the Nile River, across from the modern city of Luxor, the design of Ramesses’s mortuary temple follows the standard canons of New Kingdom temple architecture.
-
Tombs of the Nobles - Next, move to the Valley of the Nobles, a collection of tombs in Luxor belonging to nobles like Ramose, Senniffer, Menna, and over 400 other Theban nobles. These tombs, marked by numbers, feature beautiful scenes carved inside. Nestled in the foothills opposite the Ramesseum, there are more than 400 tombs.
-
Colossi of Memnon - Finally, stop for a photo in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon.
