Karnak is a complex of Pylons, Obelisks, Chapels, columns, statues, Sacred lakes, and sanctuaries dedicated to the triad of Luxor Amon, his consort Mut and their son Khonsu. Karnak temple is famous for the vast Hypostyle Hall, the Earth ramp on which they built the pylon. Karnak is considered an invaluable historical site and resource of our information about the evolution of ancient Egypt. Listen from your guide to the stories behind each part of the temple and how it was saved between 2001-2003 with a long-term conservation treatment plan. Most of the New Kingdom kings added parts to the Karnak temple-like Tuthmosis III, Ramses II, Seti I, Hatshepsut, Amenhotep III, and Akhenaton.

Great trip - Great trip, highly recommended to see the ancient sights of Egypt. All well organised and very helpful support from the organiser, answering all questions.
Do add the trip on the river Nile on the way, limited extra charge but very nice experience to be on the river which is so important.

Private tour for two people - great experience and service - Firstly email communication with Hurghada tours was so easy. We literally arranged the tour two days before we went whilst we were in Hurghada. We wanted a private tour for two of us to Luxor to see the main sights there. We were sent a driver Mohammed who could speak English to pick us up at 5am from our hotel. When we saw the car we were so happy. It was a lovely big modern Mitsubishi with aircon. (Top tip take a pillow with you so you can sleep). Mohammed took us to Luxor where we picked up our guide Amy. Amy was so friendly and knowledgeable. She had two degrees in Egyptian history and knew all there was to know about the sites we visited. We did the tour at our own pace, no waiting round for anyone, saw everything it was mind blowing. We were able to leave our belongings in the car whilst we visited each site as Mohammed waited in the car for us and drove us from place to place. We also went to a local Egyptian restaurant (none tourist) for lunch which was included in our tour and was totally delicious (I've looked up some recipes to try and recreate at home). I can totally recommend Hurghada tours.

Perfect Trip - Everything was organised perfectly. The trip with brand new bus, perfect guide / a woman with degree in archeology/. I was accompanied by my kids and some friends. I strongly recommend this trip. Once again, everything was prefect from the start till the end.

Unforgettable day in Luxor - We booked this excursion via WhatsApp from the Hurghada Online Tours agency. Akram, the tour organizer, was available at any time of the day. It allowed us to discover Egypt at a low price, with a French-speaking guide. The minivan was comfortable, and punctual at the hotel reception.
We recommend that anyone wanting to travel to Egypt use this agency, much cheaper than the excursions offered by the hotel or on GetYourGuide. We will return to Akram during our next stay in Egypt.
Many thanks <3

Impressive - We did a private tour (2 pers) by car. The driver arrived on time at 5.00 am and drove us safely to Luxor and back. In Luxor, the German-speaking guide joined us, who explained all the sights. The private tour has a big advantage, as you are much faster than the bus tours, and therefore there are far fewer people at the sights.
The only criticism is going to a sales event, where you feel obliged to buy items made of "real handicraft".

Drop the trip to the creul zoo and shop and make it a 5 star trip. - Trip was very good, however a couple of things should be clarified before booking as left a bit of a sour taste.
The sites themselves were excellent to see.
The guide was great. Knew his stuff, and gave plenty of time with him and to look about on our own without him while also making sure people were aware of time so we made had plenty at all the monuments.
Van was comfortable with 8 people, AC good and van fully loaded with water for everyone. This includes stopping to get more when needed.
Food was buffet style with options and not bad. Not great by any means but plenty and better than expected
The negatives and things to think about before booking
Firstly, the "alabaster factory" is a compulsory stop at a shop where they are pretty forceful in making you try to buy or leave tips. It's clearly somewhere they are either being paid to take you or get a cut. Total waste of time and we needed up just sitting in the van for half a hour.
It takes longer to get there and back than advertised. A lot a messing about with checkpoints in the morning, it seems like you can't get on the road until 6am due to this so a bit of sitting about before you even leave Hurghada. Managed to get everything done in time, but coming from El Gouna we left at 03:45 and didn't get back until 20:30. Wasn't an issue for us but worth noting.
Rather than stop for a break somewhere decent or cheap they take you to a place that is a total rip of (8£ for 2 crisps and drinks). Again, clearly making some money of this as there are alternatives.
The Nile Cruise itself was nice, but it's not 50 minutes. They take you to a zoo on an island with a monkey on a chain, a doped up Crocodile and a ostrich in a tiny cage for photos. Animal cruelty and pretty sad to see. Would rather have driven round in the van and skipper this than give them money if I knew it was like this. You can choose not to do the tour and zoo if you want.
With all the above said I would recommend the trip, but not the Nile cruise/zoo. The positives out weigh the negatives however the negatives need to be called out to allow people to make an informed decision.
