A very nice experience in the Valley of the Kings - A very nice experience with a specialized and passionate Egyptologist guide. Khaled masters his material at his fingertips and is very kind. His unfailing Egyptian culture is the result of studies at a prestigious French university. Another big thank you Khaled especially for your kind attention.

Valley of the Kings and Queens Tour - Our tour guide was Gerges Emad and he was lovely and happy to answer any questions. He picked us up from the hotel right on time. The price of the entry to Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens was included in the tour ticket. You have to pay extra to see King Tut's tomb which I would recommend doing. The tombs are very very warm and busy, and it is a steep slope down into each tomb. We also stopped at a stone makers shop where they showed us how they make the statues out of alabaster and basalt. A tasty buffet lunch was also included, drinks paid separate. The whole trip was about 4 hours and I would definitely recommend it.

It’s a scam - It’s a scam. The tour guide didn’t guide me around most of the exhibits. She made me pay for her lunch which she charged me $20 for. She said she had to leave early so I was dropped off at the airport and had to wait 5 hours before my flight. When she realised I tipped her 600 EGP, on top of paying for her lunch, she drove to the airport to demand more money from me. To be clear, I paid for the full tour up front. Please go with another provided.
