Best day ever!! - made this super trip yesterday. it's up early and home late but it was more than worth it. our Egyptological guide was able to answer all your questions you could think of. knew everything about the construction method and history. jokingly asked the same question to another guide and he couldn't give me an answer, while I already knew the answer to my question from history lessons at school (30 years ago). we stayed not too short and not too long at the various archaeological excavations, just right. Even though it was very hot, we still had the best day ever. The air conditioning in the minibus was very cold and there was more than enough cold water and coke. the drivers drove overly safely by Egyptian standards and would not stand out with their driving style in Europe or America

Day trip Luxor and snorkeling trip on the Red Sea - We booked 2 excursions at Egyptra via Getyourguide. The 1st was a trip to Luxor where we visited the Karnak temple and the Valley of the Kings. The trip there took about 4 hours but definitely worth it. Our guide was a cheerful guy who could tell us a lot about Egyptian antiquity. The boat trip on the Nile was a bit disappointing and the lunch was also mediocre. But we were mainly concerned with the temples and the Valley of the Kings and that was very impressive. The 2nd trip was a snorkeling trip including dolphin spotting and so on. We've seen that one. Very nice. The snorkeling spots were beautiful and the lunch on board was also excellent. Those who wanted could still ride on a banana pulled by a speedboat. And all that for less than 20 euros. Had a fantastic day.

Great tour to Luxor with awesome Guide - We bokked a private Tour to Luxor from Hurghada via GetYourGuide. The hotel pick up at 5:00 a.m. was excellent. Aly, our wonderful driver, picked us up in time and drove us to Luxor. Aly offered us drinks (water) and breakfast snacks on the way. At Karnak Temple we met our Tourguide for the day, Mohamed Baraka, who guided us through the sights all day. Mohamed is a great guide, who explained everything perfectly and was open for every question. On every single stop, he explained first and guided us, and then he gave us enough time to explore the places on our own, which was great. After our own exploration he always ask us, if there are any questions, and if yes, he answered them all very fundly. After Karnak Temple we did a boat ride at Nile (which had to be payed extra, but was worth it) to our lunch stop. Lunch was good, but drinks there had to be payed extra. After that, it was Hatschepsut Temple, Valley of The Kings and Memonon, where Mohamed gave us enough time again. It was a great tour which I would highly recommend!!! Guide and driver were AWESOME, and made a great day for us!! Do the tour with them if you can (Mohamad does the tour in German and English). :)

Nice small group trip - Good air-conditioned mini bus for an 8 people small group pick up from our hotel. There was a little problem with the trip being canceled and altered the day before departure but we managed to get it rebooked. The local tour guide Gogo was fantastic. Not only she was knowledgeable and very organised, but also she was very thoughtful to try to look after everyone along the way with snacks, drinks, communications, personal advice about tips and how to deal with local merchants etc. It saved me a lot of money and hassle. It is strongly recommended such a nice tour guide who has no experience traveling to Egypt or similar places. The only issue not perfect, if there has to be something, might be the ride to Luxor was a bit exhausting which made us especially my little daughter very sick and vomiting in the morning due to the driving and road conditions.

Must do Karnak and Valley of the Kings! - Lets start with the highlight! Loved Karnak temple, and Valley of the kings. Laila was a great guide and made it easier for us to appreciate what we were looking at. I also really enjoyed getting there, we were taken along a road where we could see the daily life around the farm fields. The food at the restaurant was very good! The negatives: felt pushed to buy the Nile River boat ride to the restaurant. I liked it and it was in my to do list but maybe they should offer it as an option. They took us to a shop so we can buy stuff but I would have preferred to use that time at Karnak temple or Valley of the kings that felt rushed. Last was the driving. On the way back one of the drivers was driving like a maniac! Some of the fellow passengers were very scared and asked him to lower the speed. He did for a while but it didn’t last long. Tip: have small bills for toilet stops, and tips.

Horrendous - Hi getting back to my hotel was excellent. The guide who met us for the tour, the only thing he wanted to have from our experience was money. We were taken to the museum great then left yo show ourselves round with a huge language barrier. Pay for food again which we thought was already payed for. Taken to a food and beverage establishment that he must frequently use which was horrendous. Then before valley of the King's another establishment he was very friendly with to buy items which none of us wanted.
