Esna - You will be transferred to our Dahabiya, moored in Esna, about 50 km south of Luxor. You will be greeted with a traditional welcome drink on board the Akhnaton Dahabiya, served by our crew.
Temple of Khnum - After leaving your luggage, our Egyptologist guide will take you to visit the Esna Temple, dedicated to the god Khnum, the guardian of the source of the River Nile.
Temple of Nekhbet, El Kab - Begin your adventure sailing towards El Kab, also known as Nekhbet in the Egyptian language. This site features rock-cut tombs from the predynastic period and Ancient Egypt. Enjoy lunch and continue sailing on the Nile until you reach a small island to moor. Dinner will be served on the sundeck or on the island, followed by an overnight stay.
Day 02 | Edfu | Wadi El Shat
Temple of Horus - Enjoy breakfast on board the Dahabiya while sailing to Edfu on the west bank of the Nile. Visit the well-preserved Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the god Horus. One of the significant scenes depicts the story of the beginning of the world when it was entirely covered with water. After lunch, continue sailing to Wadi El Shat and moor on a small island for dinner under the clear sky and shining stars, followed by an overnight stay.
Gabel El Silsila | Kom Ombo | Maniha
Temple of Kom Ombo - Continue sailing to Kom Ombo while enjoying lunch. Visit the unique temple dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris.
Kom Ombo - Enjoy a candlelit barbecue dinner on board the Dahabiya or around a campfire. Overnight at Maniha Island.
Daraw | El Koubania | Aswan
Aswan - Sail to Daraw in the morning, a small village near Aswan known for its large number of camels. Visit the camel market, known in Arabic as “Souq El Gemal,” and learn about camel trading from Sudan to Egypt, which takes 40 days. Explore the local markets, then enjoy lunch on board. Sail to Koubania, a small village near Aswan. Dinner will be served on the sundeck, followed by an overnight stay.
