After a lunch break, you’ll head to the West Bank to visit the Necropolis of Thebes and the Valley of the Kings, a must-see for visitors. Following the tomb visits, you’ll explore the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only female Pharaoh of Egypt and an ancestor of King Tutankhamun. The tour concludes with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon, the largest ancient statues in Egypt.

After the tour, you’ll be returned to your Luxor hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle.

The tour includes a qualified Egyptologist guide, air-conditioned transport, all entrance fees, hotel pickup and drop-off, and lunch.

  • Valley of the Kings - Begin your day with a morning pickup from your central Luxor hotel or harbor in an air-conditioned vehicle for an 8-hour guided tour. The first destination is the Necropolis of Thebes and the Valley of the Kings on Luxor’s West Bank, a must-see for visitors. Here, you’ll explore four royal tombs, including those of Ramses, Horemheb, and Merenptah.
  • Tomb of Ramses III - Known as KV 11, the tomb of Ramesses III in the Valley of the Kings is a complex system adorned with colorful painted sunken reliefs depicting traditional ritual texts and scenes of Ramses before the gods. Unique to this tomb are secular scenes in the small side rooms, showcasing foreign tributes, royal armory, boats, and blind harpists, earning it the nickname ‘Tomb of the Harpers.’
  • Tomb of Ramases IX - The tomb of King Ramesses IX, the third pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty, is rich in color and detail. His sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, and despite some deterioration, the tomb remains one of the most decorated.
  • Tomb of Merenptah - Tomb 8 in the Valley of the Kings is the burial site of Pharaoh Merneptah, son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret. Discovered by Howard Carter in 1903, the tomb features fewer lateral rooms but significantly taller corridors and chambers. It was the first tomb to be built on a single axis with a notably wider entrance.
  • Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - After visiting the tombs, you’ll be taken to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), the only female Pharaoh of Egypt and an ancestor of King Tutankhamun.

Amazing from front to end - Amazing! Very customized and knowledgeable. Ragab and his team are very responsive and good at customizing tours. The tour guide we had was hands down the best and most knowledgeable one during about two months in Africa. Could not be happier! Would highly recommend to book a tour with Luxor travels :)

Awesome full day tour - Our guide, Khalid, did a great job sharing the history of Egypt with us. Out of the four tours we've taken while here, Khalid was by far the most informative guide. He also took amazing pictures for us. Karnak Temple is massive but we got plenty of time to roam and take pictures. The tombs at the Valley of the Kings were incredible. King Tut's tomb is incredibly small, so if you pay the extra 300£ to see it, don't get your hopes too high. Lunch wasn't bad either. It was a great tour.

Khalid is the master! - Incredible! We had an egyptomogist with a masters degree as our guide, Khalid! He was so thorough in his history of each person and timelines. We finally understood how the people and stories we have already heard about, fit into a chronological time line. The sites were breath taking. Massive and still with original paintings. Khalid is great at taking beautiful pictures and answering any questions.

Mrs McDonald - Private tour of west and east bank including Karnak, valley of the kings, temple of Hatshepsut and many more. Also a trip across the Nile and lunch over looking the Nile and the city. It was a very fast paced trip but that was just what me and husband wanted. To see khaild all the amazing sites of Luxor in one day. Our guide was fantastic, he had planned all the timing for all the attractions to prefection. We saw all the sites at there quietest times. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and also a great photographer and knew all the best places to take the best pictures. If you are looking to see the best of Luxor in a short amount of time I would highly recommend this tour. It’s tiring but totally worth it.

I learnt about history and I also enjoyed very much with this tour - Khalid was my guide. I was so lucky. He is polite, funny, patient, and he has much knowledge in roman, greek and Egypt history. He explained every single place we visited with fascinating stories mixed with history. I like to spend time just to enjoy the views and he waited patiently. Would suggest anyone eager to enjoy and learn about Luxor to book with him.

Great Tour, Recommend it - My tour guide was Khalid Eltayeb, you are very lucky if you can have him as your tour guide, the guy has a great attitude, is always willing to help, make changes if you need, do things outside the tour and so on. Khalid is an egyptologist so you will learn a lot from him. The tour is great, the places are astonishing, worth doing it. Just remember having some EGP in cash. Just don’t buy anything in that alabaster souvenir store, I am not aware of the money conversion and I ended up paying the more expensive souvenirs of my life, but that’s not Khalid fault.
