Best Luxor Tour - Our guided tour of Luxor, Egypt was absolutely fantastic! We visited all the main historical sites, and each stop was more breathtaking than the last. The real highlight of our experience, however, was our tour guide Khalid. Their extensive knowledge of Egyptian history added a rich layer of context to everything we saw. They effortlessly explained complex historical events and cultural nuances, making the ancient ruins come to life in front of our eyes. Moreover, the guide’s command of English was advanced, which made the tour accessible and enjoyable for us. They were able to communicate intricate details with clarity and enthusiasm, ensuring that everyone in our group could follow along and appreciate the stories behind the monuments. This was, without a doubt, one of the best tours we have ever experienced. Highly recommended!

Incredible and memorable tour of Aswan from Luxor! - This was one of the absolute best tours I have ever taken. Make sure to ask for Ayed as your tour guide! He is extremely knowledgeable and takes you through the history and minutia of the temples and sites of ancient and modern Egypt. Ayed was always on time and always pleasant and professional. When it comes to pictures Ayed knows all of the best spots and helped us get the best photos and videos while he eloquently toured us through ancient Egypt. He also gave us plenty of time to walk around each site on our own time before moving on. Incredible tour and incredible staff. Thanks Ayed!

Full Luxor experience - I had a day tour from Aswan to Luxor, it was great. We arrive very fast to Luxor, the drive was safe and comfortable. The tour was completely in Spanish and we visit the best places in Luxor, I did not have to worry about anything but learn and have a good time. We went to all places specify in the site and even have the choice to visit more. Jasmine explained me everything in every temple and even gave me time to explore more if wanted, she also was willing to answer all my questions. You can be in Luxor for at least 3 days, nevertheless with these tour you can do pretty much everything in a day.

Lots to See, Great to Get Out, Very Good Guide - We booked several separate tours and this was one of the best. Ayan took really good care of us the whole way and was a fountain of knowledge and info. Some of the things that made this tour stand out - super comfortable transportation - it was a long drive, but Ayan would offer tidbits and interesting facts about Egypt from time to time to break up the monotony - the drive itself was kind of cool for getting to see what the 'rest' of Egypt looks like outside of the big cities, and you got lots of views of the Nile and the mountains - we never had to deal with any logistics EVER, Ayan was always there to handle things - you could tell how Ayan shifted what he focused talking about based on what we showed an interest in, spending more time on things we thought were particularly cool. Also - we were on a bit of a timeline to make it back in time for a late night flight and both our guide and our driver were very committed to make sure that happened with as little stress to us as possible. Would recommend to any friend by name.

Aswan to Luxor to include stops - I was lucky enough to have Emad Aiad as a tour guide for the second time and again he was great. His knowledge of the history, knowing when to go to certain temples to avoid the crowds, and advice on what we should do next is unparalleled. If I visit Egypt again I would like to request him by name.

Trip of a lifetime- but riddled with disappointments - We paid a lot of money for a trip of a lifetime, but what we got was disappointment! Where can I start. I had done a lot of research and went ahead and booked with EMO because they were fairly responsive and helpful when booking our tour. We booked the Nile cruise with EMO but had specified that we wanted to stay on the Esmeralda as from our research it was a very good boat and amazing service. The tour operator agreed and said this has been booked and we would have a tour guide all the way through from Luxor to Aswan. The night before the cruise, we received a message that there was a technical issue with the boat and they have booked us onto a different boat - that was their first lie There was not much we could do, so we accepted what they had said, and apparently we had received an upgrade on the MS Tulip. It was a nice boat, but we were disappointed that we were not booked on the boat we had requested. Our first guide Mohammed Zidane was ace! Amazing chap and he had all the patience in the world, answering all my questions and just an all round great guy! He was supposed to be with us for the entirety of the trip- but- Emo hadn’t booked a room for him on the boat. We tried to contact them to ask them to sort it out, as the boat had one room left- no response. We asked them, and they ignored every question we asked them about this. We tried to call them to sort this out- but they wouldn’t answer the calls! Every preceding guide we had after that was average at best and repeated things that had already explained by zidane! It honestly tainted our trip as at every turn, all the guides really wanted was their tip! We learnt very little of Egyptian culture. As the guide was not with us on the boat, we had absolutely no idea what our itinerary was, and I was consistently having to chase and ask them what was happening at every stop! Going back to the boat- when we docked in kom Ombo- guess which boat was parked right next to us- the Esmeralda!! Picture to prove it! Towards the ending, we asked the representative that we wanted to speak to a manager, but again- no response. Just very disappointing, because we could have had an amazing trip, but tainted with lies and mediocre guides- our trip was ok! certainly wouldn’t book with Emo again or recommend them!

The tour that never was - I had booked this tour twice, first without a guide ($120 for two), which was cancelled by the operator (Emo Tours) and then again, with guide, entry fees and lunch included ($300 for two), with Egypt Tours Online. On the day before the tour I got a message from Emo Tours, asking to confirm the trip and I told them that they had already cancelled it from their side. I also informed them that I had booked another tour with Egypt Tours Online. When no one turned up for the tour the next morning, I called the number provided by Egypt Tours Online and was informed that I had cancelled the tour. I had never done that and sent them screenshots of the booking, and then they realized that they had cancelled it by mistake, since both Emo Tours and Egypt Tours Online are essentially the same company, and they had cancelled the second tour that I had booked after our conversation the previous evening, without checking the booking numbers. I never knew that both these were the same company. Essentially, they cancelled a cheaper tour, giving bad weather as the reason, but were willing to sell me a more expensive tour on the same day masquerading as as different company. Then they messed up the booking numbers and cancelled the new tour too.

Scary... - I will start with a regret for having taken this tour.. This is a clear example of what can go wrong. I will try to be objective, as in my previous contribution to this company EMO TOURS EGYPT. We will start, with a I will have to be respectful of my guide because he is an older person, but I will definitely not let him try to scam me. My guide was Mr. Nasser, and he arrived at my hotel on time to start the excursion, but this was not the case with the car driver and the car, who arrived until 6:30 am when the excursion was scheduled at 5:00 am. Therefore, we were already an hour and a half behind schedule, and it seemed like a short time, but it was a very important point when returning since the distance from Aswan to Luxor is approximately 4 hours. After the arrival of the car, to start my excursion an hour and a half later than scheduled, my guide told me that they did not send him the tour tickets, and that if I could pay my tickets with my card and he would return the money to me in Pounds Egyptian, since entrance to the venues can only be made with card payment. To which I responded no, since I didn't have my card, because I had paid for the tour with the tickets included. Maybe it's something insignificant but in a country where they try to get money from tourists, I was definitely not going to lend my card. After this incident we continued with the tour with a little resentment on his part, since he told me that it would be difficult to enter the venues without being able to buy them with a card, Nasser, unlike the other tour in Luxor, did have the knowledge that age gives him, and perhaps he made an effort to make the excursion more interesting. The problem arose when entering the places of interest since we had to wait for someone to buy the tickets to enter, and we lost time. Upon our return it was already late, around 4 pm and I asked my guide not to visit the dam anymore, since we would arrive very late to Luxor and frankly at night I didn't know Egypt and I don't know how safe it could be, to which I accept, but not before making a stop to buy food for him and the driver where we lost about an hour. Back on the road, at one of the police checkpoints they stopped us, where according to them we couldn't be so late on those roads, to which I was very scared because it was already night and they wouldn't let us leave. They held us for about 2 hours, without being able to leave and with the distrust that something would happen to me. I share my experience with you, so that you are careful when choosing a tour and above all, do not trust people. I think it is not a tour where you can feel safe or they provide you with that peace of mind that they would be obliged to guarantee.

NEVER AGAIN - The company was totally dishonest with us. We arrived to our last stop "Temple of philae" late and the ticket office was closed, so we couldn't visit it. They apparently didn't know the timetable, something unacceptable for a private tour that cost us SO MUCH looking at the prices of the country. No one offered us any refund or any solution to our problem (for example a transfer for the morning after), and when we complained, they were very rude. We are very disappointed and will never book a tour through this website again.
