Teatralna St, 11 - Sts. Peter and Paul Church
The longest and most intricate Lviv dungeons are located under the Sts. Peter and Paul Church of the Jesuit Order. Some of them were once used as a crypt (burial place). Jesuit College was there too.
In the dungeons, you will see the archbishop’s sarcophagus. According to the legend, the lid of the sarcophagus was moved off from the inside… -
Krakivska St, 21 - Transfiguration Church
The dungeons are located under the Transfiguration Church which was built on the site of the 18th century Trinitarian church. Nowadays, they are the largest known Lviv undergrounds. -
Svobody Ave, 28 - Opera House
There are not only dungeons but also an underground river under the famous Lviv Opera House! The building stands on the former riverbed of the Poltva River (since the late 19th century). Learn the construction history of the Opera House, and see the river still flowing under the city.
